nicki unless it's a new tenancy (rather than a new tenancy agreement for the same property) unless it was wrong, you'll probably be entitled to the same rates, LHA only kicks in with a change of income. If it's LHA you should be getting it all paid if it's within the 2 bedroom limit, as you can get up to £15 on top.
Its the same property but I'm on the old rates, I started claiming about 3 weeks before they changed the rules  I only get £75 a week when my rent is about £85 (I pay a fixed rate monthly but the benefit is calculated weekly) I was told that if I cancel my claim for housing benefit and then reapply a week later then I can go onto the new rates which would in theory pay all the rent and upto £15 extraCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Toots my love, you need to give me another star. Or do you want me to wait til DH mends the cupboard? No worries if that's the case, but he probably won't do it this weekend. He's engrossed in snooker!
Glad to see you posting, was worried about you. Glad to see you had a quiet morning and hope you had a nice time with NOF"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Evening all
Been in the garden all afternoon inspired by you Serena I have cleared up the terrace and swept it. Pruned a 2 trees, planted some bits out, done some weeding.
DS2 and I have set up a little plant stall out the front with some surplus plants - strawberry runners planted up and bay cuttings. I said he can have the proceeds as pocket money if he does the signs and puts the plants in and out each day. He has had £1 posted throught he door today. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I don't use sugar when stewing fruit... stew rhubarb in orange juice if you have any, and also add some stem ginger if you have any lying about.
Use whipping or double cream (preferably the latter), and whip to soft peaks. It's important not to over-whip it, as you need to be able to stir in the fruit.0 -

nicki a lot I know haven't done it because it means you loose several weeks, I am unsure if it works like that unless there has been a change in circumstances which was the original advisory. If you're in an area where LHA is much higher than local HB it might be worth it, as long as it doesn't drop loads as LHA is reviewed monthly instead of yearly like HB rates are done. Some areas (like where we are) many would have to take a drop to go on LHA. They calculate it weekly, so your monthly rent will be x 12 then divided by 52 to get your rate right.
