soappie how are you lovely - must be a bit strange working towards finishing - are you busy tying up loose ends??
    toots xx

Nope, not tying loose ends up at all - I am coasting to the finishing flag ;) But not totally. I am passing on a certain amount of knowledge about Things to a young Civil Servant who, in about ten years time will actually be good in the job I'm currently doing (he's only just started, but he's keen to learn - bless him)

No flying done today... made toad in the hole, which was the wrong thing to eat, so I feel sick and bloated! Have also got sausage casserole in the SC.

However, I won't be in to eat it tomorrow as I'm out at a work do. Which I discovered this morning is black tie. I'm not amused. I did explain to the guys that as I'm female I need considerably more notice to be able to deal with that!

I managed a swim this morning, but didn't manage to leave work on time to go to the gym or yoga on the way home.

Just going to deal with the worst of the mess in the kitchen, and then go to bed. Tomorrow morning's swim will have to be sacrificed as I need to work out what I'm going to take with me to wear in the evening

Lots of hugs, healing vibes and positive vibes all round, but especially for Carol's exam, Mudbath's dad, Lady-Liberty, Toots' last two treatments :j and Flower's test results.

Apologies if I've missed anyone out, but there was a lot to catch up on...!

    page 6 already?

I've managed to hoover the kitchen while holding DS2, and also redid the living/dining room that we had done yesterday. I emptied and bleached the kitchen bin yesterday too.

My lettuce plants got watered this morning. It's rained here all day, and that should have filled the water butt. It certainly watered the school floor when the roof leaked.

I've taught 5 lessons and marked a set of books.

I had to sit with DS1 till he fell asleep at 9pm, so not much else achieved. I was going to try and do some lesson planning tonight, but i'm poopered and watched heroes while i ate my dinner instead.

Work asked me today to go in for training tomorrow with the local LEA science person. I get the feeling it is quite important, but as they failed to tell me about it early enough i can't go. They must have known about it last week at least as it is someone coming in, so i'm a bit worried about that but can't do much about it. I made sure i asked to be given more notice in future and wrote that in an email so i have proof. It's all stressed me out a bit today and made me think what is the point.

I'm going to try and read a bit of the thread now and then bed as it's freezing here tonight. Another one bites the dust. Take care everyone

Nicki Did you get a new phone. O2 are quite good Ive been with them for years and they have some good deals.

I didn't actually get a phone today. I went in to have a play with one to see whether I did like it or not. I do, so I'm going to order one through Quidco ;) Just looking at their internet as well... apparently it would only less than £10 a month and I'm currently paying £15

ETA: Ooopps pressed the button too soon. :o

My trip to town to check out the phone and get some bits was interrupted by this : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/8021396.stm  I overheard a policeman say that there was a possibility of it exploding like a bomb which is why they cordoned the place off! It added another good half an hour to my trip as everyone was crowding around to see what was going on and after eventually escaping the crowds I ended up having to go the very long way around to get from one shop to another  Then of course I had to go back to see what was going on :rotfl::rotfl:

Anyways, flying wise I've done some decluttering (2 old mobiles) to a shop in town and I'm trading them in for a "pink slidey" phone for DD apparently :rotfl: They are being traded in for a new-to-her phone for her anyways but its been requested that her new phone is pink, slidey, with a camera (she loves taking pictures ;) ) and if it can connect to the computer or have bluetooth I'll be happy as it will save her texting me the pics to put on the computer  Trouble is I've got to go back tomorrow after the phones have been tested as they didn't have time to test them today as the shop was shutting :o Good job I'm still too sick to go into work.
