Can I have a Visa Debit with NatWest??

No you wont get down graded at all....
Many thanks. My Maestro is pretty worn so think I will give the bank a phone in the next few days and ask them to replace with a visa debit, and then I can start using my account properly again. I haven't been using it for similar reason to a lot of people here, a lot of online retailers simply don't let u use it. Is the bank encouraging their customers to replace the old cards?
Quick question - I'm fairly new to this site, and I am having trouble editing my posts. Or saying 'thanks' to posters. Whenever I attempt to do this the system unlogs me and have to keep logging back in.0 -
Out of interest I have just checked my Equifax credit report and it seems Natwest has credit checked me after asking they replace my Solo with a Visa Debit.
I have a Step account with them, but also have an e-ISA which was recently opened and they also credit searched me for it, not being it a credit facility and being myself already a customer...
And you know the funny thing? They didn't search when I opened the Step Account back a few months ago, which was the first account I hold with them since 1994.14/09/2009 | Credit SearchNatwest - Internet -Sls & Accnt | Opt In0 -
I found the leaflelt, another one came in the post today for a different account. Read it cover to cover, that clause isn't in it about getting a like for like or better card. and UB are only charging 75p flat fee for the foreign transaction charge instead of £1.25 :--)0 -
Anyone received there new card yet from Natwest?0

Ordered ours today. I wasn't even asked why I wanted replacements:rotfl::j. Just a waiting game now:rolleyes: Would be interested in seeing what the replacement for the solo card will look like. The one on the previous link is a servicecard 100. Anyone had one yet?0

Interesting.... credit searching you and your financial associates without your permission? maybe its just a generic idenity check. I too thought you didnt get credit checked for a step account0 -
My private banking NatWest Visa Debit arrived today. I ordered it on Moday afternoon, it wasn't to replace a lost/damaged card so pretty impressed how quickly it turned up! Maybe Private Banking customers get moved to the top of the queue. : )
Card is quite unusual - the sides of the card (i.e. the really thin bit!) are dark red, whilst the rest of the card is a very matt dark purple, with the exception of the NatWest logo on the front which is gloss. Looks much better than the RBS Private one! The VISA Debit logo is all in silver.0 -
