Youll get like for like all solo cards will get replaced with visa debit cards. :j

If you had an ATM card before then youll be most likely to get another one unless they decide to upgrade you to a debit card.

They are not going to replace a debit card with an ATM card.

13.3.14 When we issue you with a replacement card, we may issue it
under a different card scheme from the one which applies to your
previous card (for example, we may replace a card issued under
the Maestro scheme with one issued under the Visa scheme). We
will only do this if we reasonably believe that the facilities offered
by a card issued under the new scheme will, on balance, be as
good as, or better than, those offered by your previous card.

This clause is not in the change of terms for Ulsterbank. only RBS/Natwest.

Im not sure to be honest ive havent seen any info for ulster bank.

Are you an ulster bank customer? Could you paste the new terms into the thread? From the important information from the online banking.

Im sure the clause still applies even though its not detailed. It would be very dumb of them to replace someones card with a cash card if they already had a debit card.

Yes i'm a customer, I thought me ordering a card would give that away....maybe not.:rotfl:

I dunno where the leaflet is now, it was white and said changes to your debit card, and it definitely didn't say that in it.

I don't think they will replace debit cards with cash cards, but maybe there is a possibility they will remove peoples cheque guarentee facility now that they are able to provide them with a full debit card, the solo debit card is quite a recent thing for Ulsterbank, before that it was all or nothing so they might have customers who have a cheque card that they would prefer they didn't, and now they can get rid of those while still providing them with a debit card
