Thanks yukkibear, I think I have finally got my head round matched betting. I've posted a "dry run" on the MB forums so hopefully someone can have a look and let me know if it sounds like I've got the hang of it.

Had a bit of a blow today with my car - I snapped a coil spring (I think!!) and the garage has said its best to change both at the same time - at a cost of £270.83!!! :eek:

Wasn't really expecting that, and of course don't have a contingency for car emergencies so my lovely OH has said he'll pay for it and I can just pay him back when I get paid at the end of the month.

There really is always something!!

Ouch that's not good. That kind of non contngency plan scares me too. I hate to think what would happen if something happened right now. I try not to think about it and kick the loan down as much as possible so I can start the back up properly.

I know, I can't wait to be in a position where I have an account with enough in it to cover these little emergencies. I've only just started road tax / post office stamps this month as that always seems to creep up and bite me in the bum. Hopefully I can get cracking with the MB's and get a few hundred built up and start chipping that at loans.

On a plus side, my expenses for my course fee's were approved today so hopefully I can make my offer to NR soon-ish!!

Just a little update to my diary!!

Have now joined up to betfair via Quidco, so once they have verified my age because I'm using an electron card, I can get going!!

Still don't have my car back - and walking past work to go to the childminders then doubling back this morning was a nightmare, I will appreciate my car sooooooooo much when I get it back thats for sure!!

Quidco Money in the bank today!! £63.88 so think I'll put the £60 in my Betfair account to get me started with a few small Matched Bets... just waiting for them to verify my age as I used my Visa Electron to try and fund the account yesterday and they needed my scanned passport.

Hopefully they will verifiy me soon, as I'm ready to get started now!

Thought I would do a little diary update - I seem to be slipping up on this and need to get back into it!! Have almost managed to do my first matched bet... just waiting for my account to be verified with Jaxx and then I'm ready to rock.

Went car booting today, and made a pretty poor £37...take off £10 for my stall and the £13.50 I spent on dolls high-chairs, bouncer and clothes for my DD's toys it leaves me.. well not much profit!! I'm hoping my MB'ing can compensate for this a bit once I get in to it!! I don't grudge the new (to us) toys, as they were all in perfect condition and my daughter loves them.

Tomorrow I need to pay money into the bank for a works night out I arranged and paid on my credit card so that needs to get paid asap!

Think I need to start doing lists again each day so that I am doing something towards my debt free target... so, tomorrows is to pay that money in to the bank and not spend it on myself!!

I managed to pay the money in to the bank today for the credit card, so have paid that off. So thats todays target taken care of.

Not sure what tomorrows will be, would probably be to have a NSD, appart from buying a Sun as I'm collecting the tokens for the hols!!

Hoping to finally get a matched bet done, just waiting for some money to hit my jaxx account, and hopefully the odds will get better in the meantime for the bet I have been looking at!

Forgot to add, I got a package from ebay today that I bought the other day, it was a job lot of new cards in packaging - 250 for a tenner!! They're really good quality and I think I will be able to sell them at a car boot sale, or even back on ebay.

Think I may look for more christmas-y cards and maybe have a car boot with just cards???

Have just done my first MB - so hopefully it all works and I've done everything correct!! Think I am driving people insane on the MB board with all my questions!!
