Quick update - decided to tackle the ironing at about 7.30pm and thats me JUST finished  so no ebay listings for me tonight, will just mean I'll have to do LOTS of listing tomorrow night instead!0

Not much progress on the ebay items... only have three with watchers and one with a bid
Guess it might pick up, the listings have 4 days odd left to go so hopefully some more of them go.
I am going to go through quidco and make a list of all the Bingo Sites with good cashback - there was one I spied last night that was £25 cash back for depositing and wagering at least £10 which I thought was quite good.
I don't think I'm going to get my £500 target by the end of the month this month unless I get my butt in gear with some matched betting. Have been reading through the guides etc so am going to have a play around with the spreadsheets tonight to see if I can make any sense of them. I haven't been able to do matched betting so far in my debt free quest because I've never had the extra cash to get started, but I had around 20 hours OT this month so figure I could use some of that.
Anyone got any ballpark figures for what they started out with? Would say £100 be enough or would I need some more?0 -
If you are starting with a small offer then £100 should be ok. What you need to do is find a bookie with an offer, play with the spreadsheet and you'll see how much you'll need ie your bet plus the bet you place at the exchange.
Who are you going to go with first?
Sign up with Betfair through quidco/topcashback (they are your exchange / lay bookie)
Then find a bookie with an offer and go through quidco/topcashback for this bookie as well if poss.0 -

Great, thanks Yukki!! So by a small offer, do you mean like a £10 bet, where you'd get £10 free bet after placing the original one? Obviously if I'm only starting with £50 then I wouldn't have enough to do a £50 bet for the first one.
Also - is it best to look for bookies who do SR bets, otherwise you're money is locked in with them?
I'm going to get tidyed up tonight so that I can sit and have a play around with the spreadsheets so that when I get my pay next Tuesday I can make a start.0 -
it depends on who is offering what. yu don't want to waste a bookie by placing a £10 bet but you also don't want to risk big money on your first go.
I'm sure i heard coral was a good start.0 -
Seeing as I have been bad and not updated my diary for 5 DAYS  I thought I had better do an update!!
Have been over on the matched betting boards, reading up and trying to figure it out. I think I have a good enough idea of what to do so am going to start, hopefully this week. I have applied for a new bank account so hopefully that is not rejected as I would prefer to keep it separate from my current account - I get easily confused so it would just make more sense for me.
I have a few items from ebay to post, so will get those packaged up tonight ready to post out tomorrow. I'm also going to a car boot sale to sell on Sunday so am hoping to make a few £££ there too.
Still waiting for my exam results - which is driving me insane!! Not only do I not know if I have passed or not, I can't claim back my course fee's on expenses at work until I have my results!! When I do claim back the fee's this will allow me to make a !!!!!! offer to Northern Rock and hopefully get rid of them. This will be a major milestone for me in my Debt Free Journey because it will mean for the first time in about 6 years my debts will be a four figure sum instead of a five figure sum!
Anyway, enough ramblings from me, hope you are all doing well in your own journeys... I'm off to update my signature as its payday and I have just paid out all my creditors for this month...
TTFN! :wave:0 -
Just a little update to my diary... which I have been really bad at updating recently, but will get back into it!!
I have passed all my exams at Uni so can now go ahead and claim back the fee's on expenses - around £950 so that will go into the pot and be put towards my NR loan. I'm going to phone them up and see what their !!!!!! offer would be, and hopefully I'll be able to get rid of it by the end of September.
Off to submit my expenses now... :j0 -
Well done on passing all your exams.0
