I've updated the first post - well done Purple Cat and Pockets, you are both doing really well

Have had some bad news today - DH's truck has got to have major repairs, £600 just to have temporary repairs and it would be £1000s to have it completely fixed. DH has decided that he can't keep his business going (he's self-employed) and that he's going to have to find employment. He's just not getting enough work, and we are struggling so much financially. Not able to pay the bills, having to wait for the reminders to come before we can pay them. It's actually a relief that he's made this decision, but quite a sad day for us both. Sad too that his beloved truck, which he loves, is on its last legs.

  • Can I join in please?
I have been putting my pennies in a pot and I used to donate it to the RSPCA but now I am on long term sick and on reduced payments to my creditors, I think I should be trying to pay a bit more off my debt.
I decided to have a clear out of my clutter on a regular basis and take old CD's etc to their charity shop.
    Every little helps.

  • Welcome KittyBoo, sorry it's taken me so long to welcome you - have been poorly with a migraine. Sorry to hear you are having such difficult health and financial problems, that's such a worry for you. Well done on deciding to put all your assets to good use. I'm in a similar position, had to give up work because of poor health and we are in financial difficulties, so I feel your pain!
