gosh-i must be a really slow typer!!

I have a savings account on my online banking so will probably do what you suggested and save it all up then move it over. Once I do that I will also cut my OD right down to like £100 or something so the temptation isnt there again!

Urgh, he applied for the police but was refused as he has to have lived in the UK 3 years to apply.

Second choice, the teaching, he wants to teach sciences, but his degree is in law, and his Irish a-levels are actually only equivalent to AS-levels, so it seems no one will let him do a PGCE. He was waiting to hear back from Durham but nothing yet. So it might mean he has to do a second degree in order to do the PGCE.

Christ, that was a long catch up. I'm not used to it!!

Well done on getting your sig up Sam! I third what Dinah and Tete said, good detailed photos will be a bonus for your accessorize bits. Good luck with selling them!

Quit teasing me with the Campers! I've got to wait 4 years until I can go on one, unfair!

Went to see State of Play yesterday OH, still blind at a bat, spent the whole time leaning over and going 'whats that say?' 'what they looking at?' Was a good movie actually, not the sort of thing I'd pick on my own though. Tormented is coming out next week though, I'm worried I might turn into a movie geek the amount of movies I have on my 'To See' list!
On another mission to earn £3 tonight for my meal deal tomorrow! Ironing perhaps?!

Right, off to read the new Martin-mail!

Oh my goodness what a nightmare. Especially after doing a tough degree like law! Something will work out in the end. If its his dream job then as long as he gets there thats all that matters.

Lol I read the martin-mail on a Tuesday night I'm so uptight about getting all the MSE news!

I think the police is more his dream job than the teaching, but they won't take him so who knows.

Hi Cinny :hello: Wondered where you'd got to today. Glad you enjoyed SoP, OH wants to see it. Has anyone seen the trailers for a film called Drag me to Hell or something? Looks quite good actually :D

Can NIM not just teach primary, then he won't need to specialise? (I think) - I shouldn't be suggesting this, the system seems to be full of teachers who don't really want to be teachers.

Sam, are you in a position to transfer current account? What about something like the Alliance & Leicester one that offers £100 and a 0% overdraft so you can still save up to pay it off but you're not paying interest in the mean time. And you get £100 to kickstart it! Good luck with the ebaying too - I agree, the photos will make all the difference.

Hi Cinny, I though State of Play was really good too. I want to see Synecdoche, New York but annoyingly it's not showing at Cineworld where I could go for free*. Not sure how to pronounce it :p but love all Charlie Kaufman's other movies, like Being John Malkovich!

*alright, not free, but you know what I mean!

Blimey, I go off to lunch and there's loads to catch up on! Well done on the signature Sam! You have definitely shamed me into doing one!

Eek, I've just been reading the Money Moral Dilemma about giving up your £50 seat on a train for a heavily pregnant lady and I can't believe how many people are saying "No she should have booked ahead like me"!! What's the world coming to?!

(Sorry this is unrelated to anything else, I'm just really shocked!)

I was reading that too - absolutely shocking! Especially the people who said 'well, she chose to get pregnant' like that's a reason not to give up your seat! I'm surprised more people wouldn't have offered to sell her their precious ticket :rotfl::rotfl:
