Branded stuff sells quite well generally. With jewellery it entirely depends on the photo you can get, sometimes there is some awful fuzzy thing and you can't work out what you're bidding on, get the right photos and I'm sure it'll be a good start to kicking those debts. Well done Sam and a lovely colourful sig it is too! I sold a load of bags and other Accessorize stuff a couple of years ago (also ex staff member), and I agree with Dinah about the photo, try and get good macro detailed shots of the jewellery.
THANK YOU Dinah for the Scottish camper vans, bit closer and OH loves the Highlands so we could possibly go for a walking holiday! Did like the idea of the Isle of Wight though ...

thanks, I will have a good sort through later and try and get some good photos. now is a great time too, what with the move in a couple of weeks-good time to clear out!
Well its the CC definately. OD 1 is currently interest free, as is my loan from OH. So the plan is CC then OD2 then OD1. Even though OD2 is my current account I pay interest on it, so want that cleared too!
Am actually getting quite excited at the prospect!Trying my hardest to change...Mummy to a beautiful princess born 06/11/110 -
Know the feeling, a week in the highlands would be lovely, but NIM simply doesn't get the time off. He's getting his degree and Irish A-level thingies certificates while he's over next time, so he can find out if he can do teacher training. If they don't count his highers, then it'd be a 2 year degree with the OU so that he's science qualified. And at the end of those two years I still think he'll prefer the police anyway!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thats the spirit Sam, I still get excited about 'clearing debts' even though actually it's not debts but savings I'm doing. When you get to clearing the OD from your current account, put all the money into a savings account until you have the full amount of the overdraft, then transfer the whole amount over, that way it doesnt get lost in day to day spending and you KNOW £0 is the end of your actual money, not thinking 'erm is it £387 I'm paid off up until or £450?'.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Haha, you'll soon be addicted Sam! Id there any way you could get a new current account so that your wages aren't getting swallowed by the OD every month, and when you pay something off it you can see that you have? Might be good psychologically?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

It's a bit scary, we're talking about buying a house in 2 years, but NIM might not have a career by then, so we'd only be able to get a small mortgage in joint names, or a bigger one in just my name (if I'm still working here!).Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I remember you saying something about NIM joining the police-when is he able to apply? Fingers crossed on the teacher training-this may be a stupid comment and i apologise, but can he not do a PGCE or something over here?Trying my hardest to change...Mummy to a beautiful princess born 06/11/110

I wish we had done it like that. We are just getting to the end of paying off our overdraft (£2800 since Christmas), it will be finished in the next couple of months. It has been really frustrating not being able to see the balance reduce immediately, like you would if paying something off a credit card balance.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
