Anyone up to anything exciting this weekend? I am afraid for me its packing  me and OH are moving the end of May, and I hate to say it, but typical male...im doing most of the sorting! Though to be fair, he cant win poor thing, if he does some i usually moan that its wrong!

You're in the wrong place to complain about lazy men I think Sam, I think it tends to be our OHs who clear up after us! (Well, me and Birdie at least!)

Gisborough hall for tea, very nice! I've only ever had Christmas Dinners en masse there so can't really comment on the food but it's a lovely place.

OH is away at uni til tomorrow aft so I have the night 'off', can't wait, going to be totally lazy :D Meeting my cousin and her new beau tomorrow for a cuppa then we were supposed to be going on a boat thing in Durham with a few of OH's friends but has been cancelled so just going for an Italian instead :(, then up to Newcastle on Sunday to see my bezzie Irish bud who's over for a flying visit :T God, it's quite a packed weekend actually, gulp!

Cinny, is the mixer £600?!?! Or is that what you want to get to before you're allowed to buy it?

Tickets have arrived woo! My sister was quick to tell me Cinny hehe

Having a stressful day at work but have been told can leave early at 5 so that is good news as need to leave as soon as poss for Southampton in case of traffic.

Hurrah Wendz, you must be relieved! So you have to go to Southampton to pick them up than back up to London to travel? Nightmare!

Girls at work are getting broody again. And talking about baby yoga, what on erath makes these women think a baby needs a certificate at 4 months old to say they can bend in certain ways?! Give them a rattle for crying out loud! Saying that I think I might just be scared of the super-flexible babies, babies on the whole scare me. We were talking last night about maybe trading in one of the cars for a teeny one like an aygo, but NIM said it wouldn't last us very long as our needs changed, and I said it should last at least 5 years, to which he said 'well we'll have our first child by then most likely', I think I covered the blind panic quite well by just not saying much, only a small 'yeek' noise of terror escaped my lips!

They have arrived at my flat in London, so is Ok, got to travel back to Southampton tonight for a friends birthday and then get back on sata nd pack, going to be hectic. At least i can relax now they have turnt up.

Ohh Dinah that is a bit scary about NIM thinking of kids when buying a car. I think my OH nearly has a coughing attack when i mention kids haha, but he does want them. Just likes to pretend he doesn't. And i agree baby yoga sounds rediculous

Hi Ladies (and NIM and other man folk)

I hate nightshift. After doing 3 afternoons, straight into 3 nights. 2 more to go. Hopefully I can get through it with 2 pints of larger and a packet of crisps - soo funny.

Dinah - OH and I had a look at the car situtation again. I compared the financial, annual and petrol costs for a Nissan Micra (basic) versus a Toyota Aygo +. Although the Aygo+ was slightly more financial it was cheaper to run annually and petrol wise. Our nearest dealership was saying the lead time is about 11 - 12 weeks so we are thinking of waiting to take delivery till 1st September so we can get a new 59 plate.

Sleep - Does not help when trying to sleep that somebody is going round cutting the grass - which is not too bad - but the man walking round with the grass cutting blower - do not see the point in that can't he use a brush.

Dinah, one of the girls I work with has just announced she's having a baby and I think I felt a bit broody for the first time ever, though I know I still don't want one yet! Will you not be keeping two cars abyway - maybe you could have a big one for lugging baby paraphenalia and a smaller zippy one for commuting?

Poolie, I've been eyeing up Aygos and C1s whilst out and about, they're nicer than I thought really, have been getting some funny looks from the drivers who I think thought I was eyeing up them!

Glad to hear the tickets are (almost) in your sticky mitt Wendz!

I was talking babies with OH the other day, because there's a woman at work who has 2 teenage daughters who she seems to not like at all the way she talks about them and she's always telling me to not have kids and I was saying to OH why have kids if you're just going to resent them? Anyhoo, the long and the short of the conversation was OH saying 'I want kids... but if you get pregnant now I'll kill you!' I think that was a hint to wait a few years!
Had something of a stressful trip to the doctors, OH has just registered me so I had to go for a new patient check up but I'm not very well so had to kill 2 birds with one stone and she wanted a water sample but I got stage fright so I had to go home, have lunch and drink 2 glasses of water and a glass of lemonade in a bid to make me 'go'! In all the running about I didn't get a chance to go to the chemist for my anti-biotics so I hope OH can pick it up for me!

We did look at the C1 (which is the same car as the Aygo and Pegueot 107) but the financing was expensive and there was many additional costs on the financing so any saving was being wiped out very easily.

Nissan do the same with the Micra. You get the £2000 government saving and they still want a deposit followed by 36 months so it is really over 37 months and the saving is only £1880 due to the extra deposit.

Sounds like a minefield Poolie! How do you mean they are all the same car?! Can they do that?

Hope you feel better soon Birdie! x
