I got ID'd on Saturday in M&S!
When she scanned them I stood there waiting for ID question, in the end I asked if she wanted it! 'Well, it's not because you look 21, but you look 18' as she was surrounded by signs saying 'If you don't look 21 you'll be asked for ID'
Have fun decorating Happy! Priming wood always seems to take forever. Be worth it once everything's all newly done and pretty though!0 -
OH and I would like to do a fly drive holiday in Florida (or if it was up to me, Tennessee so we can go to Dollywood!) but we can't rent a car until I'm 25 so it'll have to wait until at least next year!
We went to Florida 2 years ago with all the family, we stayed in a villa. It was a wonderful.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
Am in a much better mood now as just found out that OH has got his start date for police subject to references! He should have no prob with them. So good to know he is finally starting after applying for the last 3 years0

Evening everyone
Seems like you've all been busy today!
Cinny, I'm just going to get a bog standard kitchen that looks nice, doesn't cost the earth and will sell my house. It's a nice little house in a quiet area of Wakefield but I want an 'our house' (other Madness songs are available - and if any of you youngsters don't know who they are I'll go stick my head in a bucket!!!) instead of 'my house'. Also we have 2 dogs with another couple of transient dogs who visit every now and then (long story) so I'd like somewhere semi rural where we can run them ragged. I'd also like 3 bedrooms cos all my family live down in Essex and when they visit we have people scattered all over the place!
Tete, I know the notice period is ridiculous, especially as a girl left last week and negotiated her notice period down to 6 weeks but they won't budge with me.....doesn't mean I have to make it easy for them, though! I'm only a little minnow in a huge fish bowl but, boy, can I blow some bubbles!!!! Today I had an email from HR saying that as I was shortly leaving the company they wanted to do an exit interview. I'd love to flipping exit but they won't let me!
Dinah, 44 days holiday..........I'm so jealous. Can I come to work with you pleeeeaaase, I don't mind the trip up the A1, honest!
Oh, I'm so annoyed today, too. I got back to my car this evening after a day at work to find I'd got a £50 parking ticket DESPITE the fact that I bought the ticket this morning. When I looked for it, though I couldn't find it so I think it blew out of the car when I shut the door. Not only is it costing me (although it's only £25 if you pay quickly) but I can't claim the cost of parking from work now cos I don't have the ticket
Anyway, I'll pop in again tomorrow cos I'm off and have the whole weekend as Iggy (his name is Ian really) is off to Newcastle for a stag weekend. If anyone's out around there on Saturday night and sees about 20 blokes in really loud Hawaiian shirts, mine's the hairy bloke!Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -

Pilchard, we changed the kitchen in our last house very cheaply, but put nice handles on bought seperatly from 'Screfix'. So an extra £100 for handles made the whole kitchen look very smart. Aslo if you have a Howdens near you, they have great kitchens at fab prices...aww listen to me I sound like a sales person..lol

Now then Happy, I live near a big supermarket and the park....in fact if you go past the park at certain times of the eveing I'm the one trying to jog as I'm trying to get fit without the cost of a gym. I actually live in Thornes. I've got a Westie and a Staffy with part shares in another Westie and Staffy - had all 4 over the last couple of days which was chaotic but back to 3 now and 2 next Tuesday!
Nice to meet you (in a virtual sense!) xLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -

We do have a Howden's in Wakey so I'm going to look there but may try Magnets too (for Nectar points) but all the obvious places too. Got a friend's husband who's an out of work builder who will do the kitchen so at least it keeps the cost down for us but helps him out too.
By the way, just seen your sig and the mortgage overpayments - that's phenomenal!Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Hello Ladies
All this holiday talk - so exciting. We are off to Spain somewhere, maybe Madrid and Salamanca? But not until August. 44 days, Dinah - how cool. You could nearly work 4 days a week.
Got tomorrow off and heading to the south west to OH's Mum and Dad's for the first leg of 'engagement tour 09' (!) Then next weekend to my Mum and Dad's in N. Ireland.
Have lovely weekends everyone x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
