  • Yes! That's exactly what I've found, no muffin top! (Though not in anything size 8!) Might try on The Jeans That Made Me Feel Fat In The First Place tonght, see how I fare in those!

When I first went on FF I put in that I wanted to lose 1.5st by Oct and it had me at something like 800 cals a day, even with exercise this just wasn't sustainable at all, I was failing every day. So I changed to 1st like we originally said and now it's a much more manageable 1100, which I can do some days even without exercise, and I'm still losing about 1lb a week.

Birdie maybe look for your skinniest friend, perhaps she's got the book? Hmm, wonder what the cal content is in those Flake desserts.... yum!!!

I can't wait to see the Time Traveller's Wife either! Even OH read the book recently and liked it (and it's totally not his cup of tea), so I'm sure I can drag him along and embarrass him as I'll be all sniffly and traumatised!

I definitely agree that it's all relative and about how comfortable you feel - I think my gym buddy (just a friend I go to the gym with, really) looks really slim and is a petite size 10 but she's trying to lose half a stone that she's put on because her clothes feel tight and she really notices it.

Equally I love food, but I do just want to lose 20lbs and see what it's like and *hopefully* find a happy medium :)

I think I make up (no pun intended) for feeling overweight by making sure my hair and make up are nice so I wear it pretty much every day. I don't think I'm especially vain though, it's just habit! I do love my Mac though - I must get through 2-3 foundations a year and a few mascaras, but recently I've been using my clinique samples, freebies and I've just bought a rimmel!! Heavens to Betsy, must be the MSE influence!

Size 8 pants! That's total fantasy for me - well done! In fact, big congrats to everyone - it's great when people start to notice :) I seem to be losing from my waist/ribs which is a bit unnecessary - I don't need my ribs poking out when I'm podgy everywhere else!

And I love the fact that you were reading your scales wrong, Cinny :rotfl:

I'm what, 10stone 6 lbs now, so I still have 1stone 10lbs to go to where I want to be.... I dread to think how far away that is at this rate!

FF gives me 985 cals a day, which I usually stay within 50 cals of without going to the gym but some days I do a couple of miles walking for work. If I go to the gym I up my cal intake accordingly, banana and a ceareal bar or something, otherwise I think there is a real chance I could faint!

  • Oh it'll definitely be a traumatising film - I cried all through the book! I'm not a good cryer for public places either - all red face and snots :D

Hmm, skinny ribs and wibblybum does seem unfair! I bet I lose off my chest before my bum :o

On a completely other topic but something I'm in a bit of a rage about - does anyone else's OH try to make them out to be a nagging wifey for asking innocent questions? It's a good job he's not here else he'd've had a bop on the nose by now cheeky sod!

Yeah I think a lot of people were as useless as me with the new location.

Hey Elantan, how are you doing?

I refuse to be a crumpet. Its one step from strumpet.

I'm 21 cals over for the day, about to run up and down the stairs or something to burn them off!

wow this is a busy diary

i am doing good getting back into the swing of it as they say ...you doing a weight loss plan as well?

Yep as a thread we're on a bit of a mission to each loose a stone by the end of September, so roughly 3 lbs a fortnight. We're all doing pretty well actually!

No I often feel like I'm nagging but NIM always tells me I'm not, I'm just reminding him of things he might forget and he is grateful for it.

Right well that's my new mantra - I'm just reminding you, you should be grateful :p

I have been absolutely rubbish and slowly gaining weight but all going to change from Monday. Going to go back on the website I have used to lose weight before and worked well for me. Getting my wii fit next week as well, which I got entirely from amazon vouchers - very MSE.

I want to lose 11 lbs. Could lose more but that will put me at my happy weight where I don't have to work too hard to stick at.

My OH thinks I am always nagging him but he is very 'I'll do it later' and then never gets things done!
