The ultimate incentive worked! Now onto phase two

Morning,
Ooh, that'll be fun to wade through then Lara! Hopefully just minor things though. That's the only thing that appeals to me about teaching I have to say, getting to correct things in red pen!
Cinny, hadn't realised TTW was out already! I looooove the book, one of my faves ever, has the film had good reviews? Don't know whether it's one I could drag OH along to, although he was pretty up for the guinea pigs...
Did you run up and down the stairs Dinah?! That really made me laugh last night. Don't think I could get away with that with such highly-strung cats, they'd think it was a raid or something! I'm torn today between pilates, my back feels like it needs a good crack, and the DP sale (I think they have a sale on and wouldn't mind a look at some new work trousers) ... feeling quite flush after the car cost so much less than expected!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Oooh, let us know if the Time Traveller's Wife is good! I loved the book; I was distraught when I finished it! That's good how much money you have left, funny how you end up with more when you don't budget! If you fancy spending some of that extra cash on MAC stuff and sending it my way I won't mind!
It's going to be a very bad diet day today; I brought in big chocolatey cookies today as it's my last day here in Chorleyland and as I presented the bags the woman in the office showed me the big chocolate cake that she'd brought in for me! It's only polite to have a big wedge of it isn't it?! That's for this afternoon though... then a Chocolate Dreamcake doughnut tonight with OH! I totally deserve my podgy belly!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Okay answer a conumdrum for me Cinny. How do you get through so much make up?! You only have one face! A good friend of mine does some work as a make up artist on the side, but just for her personal collection she spends over £70 per month on make up!!! All mine is Dior, MAC etc and I don't spend that in a year. A foundation, eye liner, blusher and lipstick will last me a good year! I need to go get some more Clinique clenser & toner soon, going to get it before the bonus time finishes so I get the little samples. I have £19.89 in boots points too so should only be £10 for my clinique.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hope no one takes this funny, but in response to Birdies comment: If you're happy with how you are then eat the cakes and chocolate, don't conform to the 'desired' body image if you would rather enjoy yourself. You're pretty slim anyway so its not like you're 30stone and causing yourself actual harm. I'm dieting because I'm not happy with how I am, and that unhappiness is a lot stronger than the desire to eat pretty much anything, but if I was happy I'd be eating whatever I liked absolutely!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's very true Dinah, I think everyone knows their happy weight/size and shouldn't worry about conforming as long as they're healthy. I'll never be super skinny and I'm happy with that- although I'd prefer to be a little slimmer, my thighs are starting to take over! I'm joining the gym again on Monday as OH has begged me to go to keep him company, although I'm hardly fun to go with as I just complain about being tired and sweaty!
I'll never stop eating treats but it's not like that's all I eat so why not?!
Oooh, and re: the make up conundrum, do you wear make up every day or just weekends etc Dinah? I only wear make-up on weekends so mine lasts ages although I keep buying more and rotating my stash (you're not supposed to keep it more than 6 months anyway). If I wore it every day I'd have to buy a heck of a lot more!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hurrah for last day in Chorley!! Get the cake down you, you'll be eating normally again now you're home anyway.
I sort of agree with Dinah, I'm only trying to lose this weight because I'm aware I've put it on, clothes getting tighter and tighter (and I knew I was overeating, so that's obviously how it's happened) - it's just something I want to nip in the bud. Once I'm happy with myself again I'll be upping my food intake definitely - to maintain weight rather than lose more. Does that make sense? If your weight is steady then I definitely wouldn't worry too much as you look lovely!
And re. make up, I have stuff in my bag well over a year old - I can never be bothered to wear makeup for work so I don't go through it very fast at all! Little incentive when you work in a box and only see four other people all week!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I wore makeup every day but Saturday until I lost my make-up bag last month....
I am going crazy trying to work out how to use Durham councils stupid online planning search system atm! Ridiculous for a planning officer not to be able to find a planning application!
My weight has sort of been creeping up for about 2 1/2 years now, so I have some damage control to do rather than just nipping in the bud! All my weight so far seems to have gone off my waist, mum said I needed to stop wearing these trousers as I look like a famine victim! Hoping to have hit the half way mark this week.
Got loads of jobs for Dublin airport last night for when we next go through. 4 jobs each, £88 total plus £24 reimbursement. NIM will be so wired on airport coffees he won't sleep for weeks! Either that or we can stock up on little bottles of juice and bars of choccie or pre-packed sandwiches to keep us going all week.
Was so proud of him this morning, he went to put the chocolate mousse out of his lunchbox back in the fridge because it was too bad for him - then he realised it was a lighter choices 75 cals one so he cheerfully took it!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Aw bless! 75 cals is less than a Muller light! I'm switching to chocolate mousse!
I can only tell the diff on my stomach so far too, but OH says a bit's gone off my hips which is a Very Good ThingWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Aww, you've got NIM so well trained! I love the low fat chocolate mousses, yummy! A nice treat is the Cabury's light chocolate trifle, a bit higher calorie count but worth it and still less than a wedge of cake!
I was looking for my Idiot Proof Diet book on Wednesday night because I was planning on reading it again and starting it next week but I can't find it... I must have lent it someone but who??? Hmmm.... will have to rack my brains so I can get it back! I know the basics but I want to make sure I've not convinced myself that some foods are allowed when they're not!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I think its gone a bit off my hips too but nowhere near as much. Lets put it this way the new knickers I got in DP yesterday are a size 8 and there is no 'muffin top' effect, which I'm chuffed with.
To loose 2 lbs a week that means a deficit of 7000 cals a week. Doing this just by diet is roughly half a womans recomended calorie intake if she was maintaining weight. Thats pretty scary.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
