Lol I guess I'd describe my paintings as modern realism or something?! I'll get more up there as soon as I work out how to build a gallery!

Thanks Birdie. The issue we are having now is simply that we don't know how to build a gallery, so need to work that one out.

  • Here I am again to hijack your thread! Venice is fantastic Dinah, I went a few years ago with my ex for 5 days and despite the expense (close to £1000 each) it was one of the most beautiful and romantic places I have ever been, just be prepared to pay upwards of £3 for a (small) bottle of water! We ate at a fabulous cafe on the waterside just next to the rialto bridge, apparantly its true what they say about location location loacation, we paid £110 for a pizza, 3 beers, 2 cokes and a bannana spilt!! Anyway, in other fantastic news, after deciding to tackle my debt last week I FINALLY rang the banks, looked over old statements, new statements, about 12 weeks of unopened post and to my unashamed delight discovered it wasnt as bad as I thought, £7000 loan, £1,200 loan and £178 catalouge, have worked out my incomings/ outgoings and worked out that I have £512 left over after everything has been paid, lord knows where that money has been going every month but my next mission is to find out! Sorry for randomly popping up again, I will eventually get round to making my own diary, feel free to hijack it when I do!! ;)

Dinah - What sort of Gallery did you have in mind? If you can give me some ideas I will see what I can come up with

Let me know when you get that diary set up PP, I'll be right there. Get yourself a spending diary, works wonders in stemming the cashflow out of your pockets.

Poolie I love you so much! I'm pretty open to be honest, I just want a method of showing 12 or so paintings. Don't mind if this is one of those scrolling banner things that enlarges the 'current' painting on the scroll, or more of an etsy format where you get 12 little tiles and clicking on one makes that one bigger so you can see it. All I know is I can't have a website to show off my paintings without paintings on there!

I assume any gallery could be used in a similar fashion, copy and pasted for photos? Would need a few more slots for that than 12, it's so annoying, in my head I can see what I want, but trying to work out how to make that a website! What I want is the two tabs on the side, one for paintings and one for photos. The painting one, very simple 12 paintings which can be enlarged when clicked on so people can see them at bigger than pasport photo size! The photo tab, when that opens up just have icons with titles for the different photo galleries, clicking on each of those takes you to that individual gallery that scrolls the same as the paintings gallery - but how exactly to do that is completely alien to me!

Hi PP, glad you've found the courage to find out exactly what you owe - don't you feel better? :) Spendng diary is a shocker, makes you cringe when you realise what you're frittering away on nothing!

Website sounds a nightmare Dinah, I get frustrated trying to tune the telly in!

No news here, been making hobnobs and have put Bluey in for his MOT on Weds (at the council depot of course ;)) Sunburn still hurting :(

OK Dinah, let me have a think as my brain has turned to mush.

Not helped with it being to warm last night so I ended up on the living room floor (again!). Getting woken by my beautiful OH at 7am (kicking my feet I add) saying Gym lets go! (I ended up reading the paper as was not awake - If I had been by 30 more seconds I would have remembered my wallet so could have had a big brekkie in Weatherspoons while she was having a run). Followed by nearly 4 hours of washing, drying and polishing of the car (inside and out). To conclude with 8 hrs at work.

Let me have a think tomorrow morning. Do you have pictures of the paintings you currently have. You tell me what you would prefer and I will see what I can come up with.
