I know what you mean, I never went travelling and I'd love to take off for 6 months and see the world. Sadly I can't see it happening unless we win the lottery! OH nearly won the Euromillions on Friday, got 3 numbers and the lucky star- £16.30! It would have been better if the decimal place was further down the line but we can't complain!

We could probably afford it, its just the time off really. Some other friends of mine were trying to get me to set up a bakery at the weekend, would be pretty cool but its so scary and I would have no idea how to go about setting up a business!

Moi? Don't blame me Dinah said it on another thread, now personally I think she should have discussed this problem with NIM himself before telling the world:p

There will be an investigation, but hopefully I won't be found negligent so no action will be taken against me.

I'm sure it will all turn out fine Dinah but still, it is horrid to have such a thing hanging over you, a similar thing happened to myself and my colleague a few years back, we knew we had done no wrong but even so it caused some sleepless nights.

Lara am I confusing Lancaster with Lancashire, I thought they were close, or Lancaster's IN Lancashire ... and you're travelling up from London?! Eek! You could probably advertise on the DFW board for lodgings, someone might be glad of the bit of extra income!!

Dinah did you get any further with the website? Slightest hint of baking talk makes me want to bake but it's too fattening! Have sacrificed my beloved bolognese and cheese jacket pot for a crab salad one today, sob!

The only 'travelling' I've done was for 10 days interrailing between France, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, one city each day. Was briliant but knackering, I prefer the time to get a proper feel for a place now.

website is, erm, started..... very roughly started as you can see! No idea at all how to make a gallery, and NIM was in charge of the words, hence why the long suffering boyfriend appears!

Yeah I see what you mean about staying in one place, the reason we've done it this way is basically stringing together a weekend in Milan with one in Venice, and it was cheaper to fly from shanon than from leeds by a long way, so threw in a few days with NIMs family too which is great for him as any oppertunity to see them we need to take. Read a lot about Pisa and everywhere says you only really need a day there, so a very quick stop off I think!

I wasn't talking about your Venice trip as such, just long periods of travelling in general. I think I've heard that about Pisa too, would still love to go though!

Website is looking ... better - there are no fish in evidence at least! Did you paint that face?

Yup thats one of my paintings. It's a huge one too, about 5ft by 3ft. Thats just a holding picture as the only picture of mine we already had on the computer so shoved it up while the site is built!

Oh dear about the disciplinary Dinah, hope it all goes in your favour.

My work has been offering sebaticals, they are trying to save money on peoples wages so offering them to take 3 months off unpaid, great if you want to do some travelling. A few people have taken it up.

That made me laugh about NIMs grapes haha

I wouldn't want to go without NIM though. That said I am looking to go on mission next year, which would be without him, which is a bit scary. Only for 10-14 days, I'd really miss him, but its something I feel called to do. Guess I better start learning Macedonian....
