Him. Well probably since his mum and my mum are best friends so I see her quite a lot, but I don't see a return invite to dinner any time soon.

Probs for the best, it's sad but I guess neither of you wants to put yourselves through awkward evenings for the sake of it...

Phew, I'm soo tired today, seems the more sleep I get the more I want :( Still though, downhill to the weekend now :)

    Payday for me today yay!

I hate that when you have known someone for years and can't keep the conversation going. I find that it is a bit harder with some of my friends from school now. Find it easier to speak to uni friends.

This "NEW" car is in fact a car being held at a breakers yard in wales which I was looking at for a new sump, drivers side head light(Which is going to go soon), Replacement alloys(As mine are the worse for wear and wearing out tyres quicker than they should) and then sell on whats left over to another breaker more locally for a couple hundred.

Some womenfolk just dont get car economics. Then again some of those same women get to drive awesome alfa romeos ^_^

    How is everyone else doing?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Well actually NIM I was discussing this with OH last night as he knows a bit about cars and he thought it was silly too so there. Though alloys and headlight were not taken into account. Not keen on Alfas I have to say, I think it's the obsessive compulsive in me that can't abide the off-centre numberplates :o

You know that little face you did? Is it a cat face?

ETA- and can I just add that I'm blimmin STARVING, stoopid weight loss challenge!

I don't understand car logic at all so will not comment.

I sold my old car to my mum for £250 pounds a while back and now she is using it to get 2000 off a new car. I so should have kept it lol!

Some womenfolk perfectly understand car economics - you don't spend money doing up a banger! I agree it needs a sump plate, but the headlight isn't an MOT failure, and the tyres running down a bit quick is a very minor issue compared to the cost of getting and fitting new alloys (which are also going to be 11 years old, so aren't going to be in much better shape!).

I've actually found a really filling low fat lunch, 2 pieces of turkey breast (210 cals) a pepper (56 cals) and an onion (25 cals) all cooked together, then eaten with 1/4 tub roasted tomato couscous (105 cals), yummy.

    Hello everyone!
Not been around for a bit as been busy with the move to OHs parents. Well we are here now and pretty much settled. But they dont have wireless here so at the moment sharing the internet between 6 people! Nightmare!
Think we are going to get one of those dongle things tomorrow so at least we can use the internet on our laptop whenever we like.
Have i missed anything major? - think it would take me a week to catch up on all the posts i have missed!!

Flower - When you get the dongle are you going for the deals where you get a free laptop too? PC world are doing a free Dell laptop when you sign up. Always good! Glad you've settled in at your OH parents too.

Dinah - That dinner sounds scrummy! My mum has Cous Cous with roasted tomatoes a lot so I'll pass the recipe on to her! Just did it as a recipe on Boots diets and it's only got 4.7gs of fat in it too. Nice! Trying to find some nice healthy homemade lunch ideas for when I'm at work all next week - any ideas?!
