Hi All, I have had a car boot with DS today. I told him that he could keep anything he made, he actually did better than me. He is going to save it in his little safe. A budding MSE in the making. I am going to do another next weekend and use any money I make for my Dublin trip with OH. We are going for 4 days and one of these we are going to get the bus to Belfast to see my Grannie and the rest of the clan.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted in a while but ive been busy and busy!!
I was at work today and it was actualy good weather (good when you work outside!) and I've volunteered for an extra shift next week (see, I am a good MSE honest....)
Had to pay rent on my uni house today £250 - Ouch!! And still need to pay off my CC i spent on to get my little car through his MOT (£170!!!) and then I bought petrol on it today but I will pay that off next month.
Got about £8 on mine, my mums and my bfs scratchcards which I control though!! So should be able to cash out soon!! and Also I sold my Euros left from my holiday (which I found in a skirt pocket lol) to my little bro - good deal for us both! but he has gone away so can't pay me yet.
I joined a gym and I've been loads actually, really really enjoying it, but I have not been too strict on my eating, I dont know, I need to weigh myself I guess but I think that I will struggle past 8st2 as I think that that is my standard weight, if you know what I mean!?
Everyone else sounds like you're having fun and doing well on the lose weight plan!! (or gain weight!) Dinah I'm really glad you enjoyed being at home!!0 -
Morning everyone! Well done on the car boot ROTE and Tinkerbel, from the sounds of it you're paying rent on a house you're not actually in at the moment? Damn those 12-month student leases! And don't mention MOTs, really must book mine in, fingers, toes, everything crossed!
Did my weigh-in this morning and have lost one pound last week - quite annoying as I had a sneaky weigh during the week and had lost two. I guess that's what stuffing your face with pizza, chinese and cakes all weekend does for you. At least it's spurred me on to go to the dreaded gym today, and give away some cakes!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
NIM is having a bad morning, he forgot his lunch, the car wouldn't start, and his wallet is in my bag so he doesn't actually have enough money to get home as the car is completely out of petrol (or to get lunch!) - and we're booked to go to the hairdressers after work so he can't get there either!
Also, anyone use GAP and tried the new job search facility? How do you search by client rather than area now?!

Sounds like a bad morning for NIM, hope it gets better.
Bet you are hating being back at work Dinah, I am off for a week in 3 weeks and cannot wait.
I had a bit of a spendy weekend, got two pairs of shoes, although OH bought me one pair. Also spent a fair bit on bits and bobs like chocolate ad a plant for my friend etc. We went round my friends who is 12 weeks pregnant on sat night and saw her scans. She has even got it on DVD, you can see the baby moving and its heartbeat going, is so sweet but strange as well.0 -
Did anyone else catch the sun yesterday? Only went for a 2 hour picnic and my cheeks are so pink today! I don't normally burn easily either! Should be grateful for a bit of colour really, have lost my makeup kit and look so pale.
Well, we failed at the £20 a day last month, yet again. So am only going to aim for £10 a day this month, and see how we go. We also 'owe' the bills account £374, which will rise to £874 in two days when the regular saver payment comes out. But we will be picking up about £500 from Ireland at the end of August, so hopefully by the end of the month we'll be on an even keel again. Would ideally like to have the £500 for next month saved too so we don't immediately get into this position again.
Also, I need to sort out my accounts, three of them are not fully set up, so I need to get those account details and finish setting up direct debits so that I am no longer utterly bamboozled on payday.
NIM and I are having a race this week. Each evening we're going to each have a task, me on Ebay and him ironing. First one to do 20 items of their thing gets to pick what we do for the rest of the evening, hopefully this will tackle the mountains of clutter, the complete lack of work clothes, and the sad looking bills account balance.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Morning everyone!
Still havent sorted out a dongle, but no one seems to be using the internet over the last few days so i am taking full advantage!!
OH is being lazy and is still in bed, but think i am going to have to wake him as we have loads to do today!
Think we have decided that we are going to start off by paying at least an extra £50 per week to the debts by standing order - with the aim that we will pay alot more on top of that, think we just need to find our feet for whats a comfortable amount for us.
The race sounds like a good plan Dinah, i should suggest it to OH - although i wouldnt get him ironing, dont think he even knows how to use it!!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

I caught a bit of colour on my arm driving back up to London, not best place to be in a car!
That sounds like a good idea with the ironing/ebay challenge. OH spends half his time ironing now, but usually about half an hour on the same pair of trousers getting his creases exactly right so he doesn't get shouted at. He also spends about an hour each night trying to get his boots shiny.0
