Shhh. Less said about that the better! I know it is due to go up over the next few weeks, but really we're kind of focussed on seeing if NIM is going to start doing a renovation on the side to make us some pennies.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That will be good, help get you started into the renovation business as well!
I saw an advert for a new saver account with natwest, was tempted but then thought i really need to focus on putting all spare money on the debt before i start saving.0 -
Definitely. I found it really stressful trying to juggle savings and debts to 'make the most of the 0%', plus high street banks tend to be dire rates anyway!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It was 5% so not too bad but will save the savers till I actually have spare money. I want to have my Dads money and OD paid off by April next year, hopefully before. Then can get on the saving which I am excited about!0

Urgh, NIM is on about buying a second car like his to strip down in order to get this sump plate thingy. It doesn't make sense to me to spend £500 on a car to get parts for a car only worth about £750.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

What?! No that seems completely mental! Could he not try a scrapyard first? Have you asked at the garage? If he was going to buy a new car it would seem silly to mess about, why not just drive the new car and scrap the old one?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Because he's not practical minded like that!!! He's called a lot of scrapyards, but hes impatient. Dad found one for £89, I don't see why he couldnt call that place again as that was a new one not a reclaimed one.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
