My vacuum clear has stopped worker, I am not sure whether to try and get it fixed or buy a new one. It is a dyson so cost me an arm and half a leg. Or should I simple go for a cheap £40 one from argos?Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
I got a refurbished Dyson for £40 on ebay, been going for years. Probably cheaper to mend yours though.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Roman goddess that's brilliant ROTE!
I am so pleased to be finished work today, it's been really yuk busy and stressy. I am not used to it being a naughty part-timer. The weekend starts here! I have been splurging and have got a great weekend planned. Going to see Harry Potter tonight - OH is the fan. One night in a pub someone asked him if he was Harry Potter's brother :rotfl:
Then tomorrow we are going to a friend's night, he is VJing and another friend has some new weird electronic robot things that respond to music that he will be showing off. Lots of interesting geekery and gin and tonics.
Then Sunday it's Lovebox festival in my local park - yipppeeeee! Am going with my work colleague, so it should be ace. As we aren't getting any holidays until after Crimbo I thought it would be ok to have some nice weekends here and there.
Gosh you lot are good at getting cheap hoover deals! Of course MSEs all round. Definitely get your Dyson mended - they are designed to last for years, I'm a big fan too.
What have I missed out on this week - hope your kitty is ok Dinah. It's always a worry when those little friends aren't well. Venice or New York sound fab, I would love to go to Venice too, it sounds amazing.
Flower you're doing so well with the packing. It's got to be one of the most tiring things to do, packing everything up. Well done - it's exciting to be moving.
LOL on the ark, you would need one here too. Hope it is better by Sunday x x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Yey on the weighing Wendz.
Looks like NIM and I might have a much smoother trip to Ireland next time, he's had a big fight with his mother after she called him young and single!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

More unbelievably this came up in the context of her being angry he had a filling done over here! She thinks he should be going back there for any dental work (clearly all our 'dentists' only had to do a multiple choice exam and a half day session on hitting people across the back of the head with a plank if they complained it hurts), she really is in denial that he actually lives here now, in her mind he's just here because I've tricked him with my whiley womanly ways, and once he sees through the veil I have created with sexual allure, he'll be straight back home.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Your future MIL really is a charmer, isn't she?! Really hope that it's easier for you next time you go to Ireland
Well done on posting your measurements Wendz! I'm going to do mine tomorrow - I'll just be a week behind... Had such a mad week at work, I didn't really think about anything else! Didn't get home until 10pm last night! There was an event, so it's not a regular thing, but it's difficult to say no when you're new...
Hope you've made progress with the packing, Flower - I totally sympathise!
Did you end up doing anything nice yesterday, Birdie? An afternoon eating does sound very appealingI just made smoked haddock and pea risotto and garlic bread - think I went a bit overboard on the garlic though! My mouth's all tingly, but luckily not going out tonight so won't inflict it on anyone else!

:rotfl::rotfl:Im sorry i shouldnt laugh, but this woman really is crazy!! (sorry NIM - no offence meant!)
It makes me realise how grateful i should be that i get on well with OHs parents.
Packing is going well poddle, now have a pile of junk that needs to be taken to the tip, keeping nagging OH about it and he has promised that we will take it tomorrow. Other than that it is just a few bits and pieces that need sorting and then a thorough clean before we move out ready for the inspection.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
