Doesn't sound too bad if you can do a week in and a week off of going away. Could be a good opportunity like you said as well, you never know a promotion could come your way!

21st August!! Thats rediculous, i bet your OH wont be happy about that! At least it will be a comprimise with the week on week off thing

Well we just had our post (postman is getting later and later everyday!!) and had my natwest credit card bill, im quite pleased with how much we have paid off this month after the whole OH still spending senario. £50 has been paid this month - which might not seem like a lot but for us it is!!
On the other hand they have also put something in with the bill to let me know that as of next month they will be putting the interest rate up by 2%!!!

Just had some more good news. One of OHs family rang me to ask where our cat will be staying when we move in with his parents. She said she would be happy to have her living there is we wanted. Obviously we would give her the food, litter etc for her, but it means she will be just round the corner and i will be able to see her everyday! :j:j

I know it probably sounds really sad, but that was the one thing i was really not looking forward to is not being able to see her for 3 months!

    Morning everyone,
Up bright and early this morning, well for me anyway! - not by choice may i add. We have arranged for the council to collect our old sofa and they said they would be here anytime between 7am and 4pm. I know they wont come til this afternoon, but you can guarantee that if i hadnt got up they would have been here at 7 and i would have missed them.

Nothing much else planned for the day other than sorting out packing and seeing if there is anything else to put on ebay.

Morning! That's good news about your cat Flower, you must be feeling so much better about everything now!
What a grim day; I've got this afternoon off work (had no choice about it really as our work calendar runs 1st August-31st July and I could be spending the rest of July working away so no chance of sneaking my last half day in anywhere!), we had been planning on going to Harrogate and playing Pitch & Putt at the park but it's most likely under a foot of water now! I now have to think of soemthing else to do, but what???
OH was super clingy again this morning because he had a bad dream; about once a month he has a really vivid dream about me leaving him (this time I cheated on him with my ex!) and it makes him all clingy and worried! Awww... i had to give him a big cuddle to make him feel better before going to work, he can be such a little softy sometimes! I think the dream was brought on because I told him about how much I might be away over the coming 5 weeks, he's not happy about it at all, unsurprisingly. I have been told that one of the guys who's there now comes home on Wednesday afternoons and goes back Thursday morning so he gets a night at home during the week and I'm going to do that too so I'll only actually be staying away 3 nights a week.

Aww bless your OH, im not surprised hes not happy about the amount of time you will be spending away.
Im feeling very jealous of OH at the moment, i just went up to put some clothes away and he is sprawled across the whole bed in a really deep sleep. Im already feeling tired again!

The weather is awful here aswell so definatly wont be going out anywhere, but getting a bit bored of this whole sorting and packing routine now though!

I drempt NIM cheated last night, which meant I woke up in a bad mood! He was nice and cuddly and I was all stupid and over tired and kept thinking 'well you weren't like that in my dream'!.... Rationality isn't my strong point in the first hour of the day!

I'd really miss my cat too Flower, so glad yours is nearby.

Didn't get to do my to do list last night - roads were mental as a combination of a chemical spill on a main road closing it, and flooding elsewhere. Had to go a very, very long way home, taking over an hour and a half, so got home roughly in time to eat tea and upload the few items I've already done on turbolister, but didn't get to list any others.

Because of the £500 going into the regular saver too early plus the kitteh vet fees we're still overdrawn. It is very tempting to withdraw the £695 in the 0.8% ISA, pay off those fees and things, as we have another £500 payment due on the 5th, so we have a slim chance of being able to put this much aside by then.

NIM has said if we can't do New York because he doesn't have the holiday time, we can go for a long weekend in Paris. Very sweet of him, but I much prefer Paris in the spring or summer to winter. Might suggest Venice or something instead.

    .

As tempting as it is he didnt get home from work until 2:30 this morning so i'll let him off this once!!

Shame about New York, but venice seems like a good comprimise. OH said to me the other day that when we are debt free he will take me to venice because he knows how much i want to go - bless.

I hope you do get to go to New York but Venice would be lovely I'm sure if you can't go! It's nice that your OH is promising you a trip to Venice too Flower!
I'm still racking my brains to think of something to do this afternoon, any ideas?!
