Gah, don't you hate it when a colleague goes on holiday and you agree to cover one little thing for them ... it took all yesterday afternoon and it's going to take me til lunchtime today I can see

Never mind though, nice tea out tonight and tomorrow's 'my Friday' really, just a boring meeting on Friday morning then jollies!!

I feel for you Tete, well, re the extra workload, not about having more time off work you lucky duck! Since my TL retired I keep getting jobs she used to do sent my way but no recognition for it! Oh well, I'll just keep a mental note of it for bargaining when the time is right i.e. when the company isn't doing terribly!

You off to Ibiza already Tete?! You just got back!

I'm sat here with my diary planning next years holidays. NIM gets 22 days next year. We could go to center parks, and 2 weeks in greece, and 10 days in Ireland, as well as 2 other weekends to Ireland, plus the 27th-2nd over christmas period in Ireland if we utilise the bank holidays to our advantage, but it has to be NIMs decision really.

I think if we're building the house we're better to get a bit of a break in at the start of the year anyway, and he wont have so much time to go back anyway as he'll be needed on the house over the spring and summer, but he moved here, if he wants to use ALL the holiday time to go to Ireland, then thats what we'll do.

I know! Paris was supposed to be a Spring thing but we ended up going in June because of OH's uni, and we wanted to get our sun holiday in before the schools break up so that's why they're in quick succession! Must be a bit of a pain having to allocate so much of your hols to visit NIM's family and friends, tho of course it has to be done.

Definitely keep a record of everything Birdie but I agree in light of the recent redundancies if you said anything now you'd probably be laughed out of town!

Afternoon everyone!

OHs birthday today and the taste test for his cupcakes seemed to go well, woo! Well hes had about £100 off various people for his birthday so we are going into town so he can spend it.
He is taking full advantage of it being his birthday (as he does every year!) and i have already made him breakfast in bed, sorted all his clothes out for him. Good job its only once a year!

Ooh very jealous about you going to Ibiza tete, i went there about two years ago i think, where abouts are you going?

We're going to Santa Eulalia (certainly not the clubby San An bit, not my scene at all) - supposed to be a very 'Spanish' part of the island. Where did you go? It's raining there at the minute, :rolleyes: I swear the bad weather's following me about this year!

We went to Playa den Bossa, which was a sort of mix between the two. The whole clubbing things isnt my seen either but it still had quite a few bars etc. Think we went to Santa Eulalia if i remember correctly and it seemed nice and very relaxing. Hopefully the weather will brighten up!

Glad the cupcakes were nice Flower! I think I might have to bake some after all of this cupcakey talk! Will have to search for Dinah's recipe she posted on here...
I'm sure the weather in Ibiza will be fab Tete and you'll get all tanned and lovely...*sigh* Gutted that I have to wait until Novemer for my big holiday! And we have to organise it around the new Call of Duty game being released because OH can't miss it the big geek that he is! LOL!
