OH boils them to death and they taste horrible but I have to eat them! We have a steamer pan for a reason!
Have to admit i like 'boiled to death' vegetables, cant stand the texture of crunchy things in my mouth. Im sure it all boils (excuse the pun) down to the fact that my stepmother was an awful cook, im sure she used to just dip the vegetables in hot water then serve them, urgh makes me feel yucky thinking about it!!
OH gets annoyed with because when we have vegetables i have to leave mine in an extra 10 minutes after he has taken his out :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

I was about to say why not put yours in 10 minutes before and then you can eat together, but then you wouldn't know which was which would you and you'd end up with half crunchy, half soggy. I think that's my brain telling me it's overloaded for the day, my cue to leave! And to think we're gonna attempt the pub quiz tonight as well!!!

Hi All
Rubbish day today. I fainted on the way into work on my bike which wasn't very nice. Luckily I had pulled over into a little alley as I felt something bad coming on. Typical London - nobody even stopped to see if I was ok.
Then got into work and checked my email - been rejected for the only scholarship I was able to apply for. Feeling a bit bummed, and a bit stupid that I dared to hope my application would be good enough.
Work sucks a bit at the moment, it would have been so nice to leave. Oh well, I don't mean to be whinging. Guess I will sit in and lick my wounds tonight. x x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
NIM, you're not meant to want to be thin, you're meant to want to get all scarily big and shiney like a human teacake.!
I want to look exactly as the love of my life wants me to look so I stay attractive to her forever:AI'm feeling the need for a new challenge. I'm thinking maybe £1000 profit on MBing by end of 2009 and 'win 5 comps in 2009'... I like this one as I'm already one down after winning that galaxy book!
No more challenges love, we have more than enough to be doing.Done the Nine West thing too. A pair of round toe-d baby pink slingbacks with a 5inch heel from Kurt Geiger. Cost £120, size 5, 1.5 sizes too small for my feet. Although quite possibly worse is that I actually still wear them, even though they make my feet bleed!
So those are going on ebay then.Ahh, boys! Definitely good that he's okay - if it was one of us we'd be on the sofa with vast quantities of chocolate and possibly on the phone to our mum/bf trying to get sympathy!
What do you mean possibly poddle? You know for a fact that you lot would be on the phone for sympathy. Every woman I've ever met has had that trait in her.Have to admit i like 'boiled to death' vegetables, cant stand the texture of crunchy things in my mouth. YEY, I'm not the only one who thinks like that. dont like em crunchy, when I get them crunchy I have to fight the urge not to mash them up with some milk n butter.Rubbish day today. Have you any idea why you fainted, happened to me a lot when I was doing my A levels. Has it happened you before? Most importantly are you ok?Then got into work and checked my email - been rejected for the only scholarship I was able to apply for. Feeling a bit bummed, and a bit stupid that I dared to hope my application would be good enough.
You sound exactly like Dinah here Lara. Chill out, relax, if you dont hope then you'll never get things...or summat like that. Look you didnt get the scholarship and thats a bummer. But whats the course your looking to do and is there any other way you could get funding to do it? Dont get bummed out, look at it again tomorrow after a kip and some cocoa.Work sucks a bit at the moment, it would have been so nice to leave. Oh well, I don't mean to be whinging. Guess I will sit in and lick my wounds tonight. x x
I think we all know about work sucking. I'm this close to going postal in the call centre with people being rude to me all the time. As for whinging your on a thread of people who, like myself love to have a good whinge from time to time. By all means sit in and mope a little if you want but dont let this get you down for too long. Something good will come of it. Maybe the scholarship is all drug money and it gets siezed mid semester, then wont you be happy you didnt get it as you'll still have some form of job.
And for all of you who had a bad day today, I was pooed on by 6 different animals today and wee'd on twice, now who feels their day was as bad as that, and if you do tell me that at least gave you some bit of a chuckle.
Well I'm off to do my labours of love/chores
Speak to you all later my lovlies. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

That's definitely given me a giggle! Poor NIM, it wasn't so much the quantity of the poop, more the variety! Still loving the job though, I hope?:D
How are you feeling now Lara? That's pretty scary stuff! NIM's right, take it easy for a bit, have a little mope and try not to worry. Sorry to hear about the scholarship, but remember you've already done brilliantly getting your proposal accepted in the first place! I know how tough it is to stay positive despite people's words of support - people keep telling me how great I'm doing getting interviews, but that doesn't help me stop feeling sorry for myself (and yes, a bit stupid) when I get rejected again and again... God, now I'm having a bit of mope too
Have you checked there are no other options for funding? There seem to be loads of obscure grants available from what I've read on here. Chin up, chuck, hope it all looks brighter in the morning!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Flipping ek you lot, I miss 24hours and there are pages and pages to catch up on.
Now onto more serious things, I think we should all stop teasing NIM & Dinah about the whole 'engagement/wedding thing' (ahem, thinks maybe it was me that started it when they announced their holiday:o). Dinah needs to know when he does eventually get round to it, he has asked because its want he really wants, not because us naughty ladies keep suggesting it. Also, you know what men are like, the more us ladies nag on about things the more they dig their heels in. Everyone in agreement?
