Ahh so he took the money out of your spends money for the month. I agree 350 pounds is fine for spends. Will be annoying if you ahve nothing for the rest of the month though.0

Well there wasnt really anywhere else he could take it from, since all our money is joint now. I think I probably will bump £50 over from the petrol pot when we're a bit further into the month.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That is where the problem with joint money is, hard to do surprises! Think i will let OH look after his own spends money just in case he has anything up his sleeve...... I'm hopeful haha!
Last night he was saying in 2 or 3 years when we have a baby we could probably have it in the flat as a small baby but then we would have to move. 2 or 3 years! He hasn't even proposed to me yet!0 -
NIM calmed me down quite a lot last night, reminded me that actually he's quite keen to start trying as soon as we're married, its me that wants to wait two years. Does still bug me that he says 'when' yet hasn't asked yet mind! So I'm focussing on the first step of trying to see how viable this business is and approaching his dad. Likelyhood is we'd live in the first house for a few years anyway, so we'd actually be living together before we were married anyway.
I wouldn't use potential suprises as a reason not to do joint finances, lass at work getting married in April has joint finances and she didn't know he was going to propose until he was down on one knee, if they want to find a way to do something, they do. NIM also keeps randomly taking £10 out the cashpoint near work, so I think he has something more up his sleeve, not that, heck he's only withdrawn about £50, but he just says I'll find out when I find out!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ohh that is intriguing about the odd ten pounds! NIM does seem good at surprises.
This afternoon at work at half 4 we get to go down to reception and watch Andy Murray on the big screens and drink pimms, much better than working!0 -
Err slight problem with that 4:30 Wendz. The game has already started.0

Afternoon everyone,
Had a very hectic day today and looks like the move might be on sooner than we thought. OH has told me to hand the notice in on the flat and start packing, scary stuff!! Bit worried coz once the notice is handed in thats it we have to go.
Also might sound silly, but what do i actually say in the letter to give our notice??Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Your notice period is a month from the day rent is due, so if you usually pay rent on the 1st, you need to hand you letter in to your landlord on the 28th or something. You can ask on the housing board for a letter template to make sure you cover all the bases and say the right things.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Good idea, will have a look there. Rent is due in just under a week, so i guess that makes it good timing!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

Perfect timing aye, they need to have recieved it by rent day, so if you could find a template and print it and send it by tomorrow, that should be ideal.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
