Glad you had a lovely time in Blackpool Birdie!
OH was tidying up even more last night, weird how much the training is affecting him already. He hasn't been playing his computer game all week. Obviously a good influence though!
We have been looking at some flats that would be really convenient for both of us to get to work. Only thing is they look like they could be quite small. We might go have a look though and see if it is liveable in.0 -
Glad you enjoyed Blackpool Birdie0

Can I sign OH up to some police training please?
OH was actually pretty helpful yesterday, cleaned my bedroom and everything bless him! Made my bed better than I do
Still not booked Disney Holiday, I'm scared! My first big adult holiday away (if you take out the fact it's Disneyland..) and what if I need my Mummy?
The trains sound a nightmare Poolie! And the people sound less than helpful. Still, sounds like you had fun in Paris!
Really itching to get to the sales! Thought I'd be able to go today, but I'm going to treat OH to a tea out instead of grabbing a limp end of day sandwich and dragging the poor soul around endless shops. Going to see My Sisters Keeper with my sister tomorrow (hope she doesn't start eyeing up my kidneys..) so we'll use it as an excuse to shop!
Hope you have fun tomorrow with your spending spree Dinah, I have images of you walking around all these shops fussing over if you want something or not then sneaking the money into a saver instead!
ETA: Forgot to say, managed to talk my mum into me giving her the £350 for OHs laptop and this morning I made the normal £50 payment to savings so things stand at; £300 - Reg Saver, £200 - ISA and £100 spends in my CA. Nice!!0 -
Sounds like a great trip Poolie, and hope you had a fab time Birdie - more holiday stories please.
Just about to go on a massive shop and start the catering for tomorrow. Not too worried now I won't actually be at the shoot - won't be able to see or hear any whinging about the food! LOL
That's so funny about your OH, Wendz! How cool x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Cinny - you will be Ok on your first holiday. Is a little scary but at least you will have your OH.
That is great about the money stuff as well, glad your mum is accepting the money now.0 -
Forget slipping it into a saver, I might be slipping it back into our spends account! It's only the 4th I go shopping and by the end of the day we'll have less than £35 spends left to last the entire month! We went for a meal at a local pub last night and it used to be gorgeous food, but its changed owners and appauling doesn't begin to cover it, and it cost £17.50. Also NIM is taking out £30 for the boys night tonight, I'm going to need at least a tenner for the wedding tonight, plus I ordered some bits from Avon £14.50, and NIM took a random tenner out of the cashpoint yesterday, which leaves us with £38 to last a month! Don't think I'm going to find it easy recklessly spending money tomorrow, just feels so wrong.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Your spends are very tight, it is obviously good that you are trying to save as much as possible but does make things hard for you.
Hope you enjoy tomorrow either way.0 -
Spends wouldn't normally be tight though, £350 a month spends is a HUGE amount of money. Its just cos NIM did this really nice thing with the shopping spree and lunch.... I might take £50 out of our petrol funds though as I'm taking a week off later in the month, so will save it by not going to work for a week.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Boo. Just tried to update my wall chart on the savings and the totals I'm coming out with are £4010 for the house - where did I misplace £75?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
