Thanks for the links, Tink! Some of those cakes were amazing!
Cinny, HUGE well done on getting the stall this month! You must be so excited
My OH has also taken to reading over my shoulder and he's v. impressed too!
Sorry to hear about the credit card Flower - I hate that they're allowed to do that. Randomly they've just lowered the rate on my barclaycard by 7%, probably to encourage me to spend on it, as I have a £2k limit and zero balance. They're not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts I imagine...
Wonder how Tete's getting on in Paris? The weather's just turned vile here and I'm looking forward to a quiet night in with The Apprentice.
PS. Fab news on the tax, Lara! Sounds like you'll be doing a Dinah and blasting through all your targets!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Hi everyone
The wings and halo never came but my friend went and got me some, cheaper as well so saved a bit, will send the others back when they arrive.
Weather wasn't too horrific fpr the ball till later when it tipped it down with rain and we decided to gon on the rides at this point so i ended up looking like a drowned angel. Was a good night though even though i was so tired at the end and feel a bit rough tooday. I saw one of my best friends from uni who left in the 2nd year and i hadnt seen her for ages so that was lovely. Was last time i will see my best mate as she is off to oz for 6 months, so thats a bit sad.
Dinah - my OH plays WOW too, he loves it
Flower- that is so annoying about the credit card, hope you manage to get a 0% one
birdie- i used to absolutely love the sims, quite tempted to get new one0 -
Wendz - Glad to hear that you had a good time last night!

I have got hardly any hours again this week, which is very annoying!!
On the otherhand, gives me plenty of time to get everything sorted for holiday. Think OH and i are going toiletries and suitcase shopping tomorrow, fun!
Everytime i scroll down the page i keep seeing that picture of the baby jumper thing lolBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Ohh, I didn't even think of that! I bet she's having a fantastic time though, even if the weather is a little poo!
Did a massive post last night, then then I had a simple moment and deleted it just as I went to post it! It basically outlined my weekend of puppys and watching Eastenders and Twilight with OHs Nan, plus serious (and scary, but exciting) moving in talks with OH, planning for in 2 years time so we've set ourselves some saving targets for house stuff.
Wendz - Shame the wings didn't get there in time, sounds like you had a fun night though!
Holiday toiletries shopping is way more fun than it should be Flower, I spend ages awwing at the tiny shampoo sizes. It's like awwing at baby shoes! Plus it's an excuse to treat yourself to slightly nicer things than you'd normally get because it's holiday time. The stall is on the 27th, so you might be back!
Spent last night reading the books I got from the library about earning extra money, I read you can earn up to £4250 on top of your wages each years before tax - is that right Lara? (fab news on your tax refundything btw!) Decided as well as the cupcakes I'm going to make some brownies, blondies and Rocky Road to sell too, need to price them up tonight. It's only a small indoor market Tink, but you can come and have some cupcakes if you want! It's Retford Buttermarket if you know it.0 -
Morning! This weekend has flown by, I woke up thinking it was Sunday and then felt very depressed as it dawned on me that it is Monday and I have to go to work!
Yesterday we went up to the Metro Centre, well IKEA first for a desk and a little set of drawers, the desk unit has one of those drop down desk things so OH can just shut it all up so he doesn't have to look at my stuff, it looks like a chest of drawers when shut. He's building it today with his brother, I built the little drawers last night and that was difficult enough!
Anyway, back at the Metro Centre! We just popped into Currys to price up laptops and the guy told us about a good deal on an HP with a Blu Ray drive but they didn't have any left so we had to go to Team Valley 'for a look'. 20 minutes later we were the proud owners of a fancy schmancy laptop and it was down to £399 from £700 so OH was very pleased. I was really happy too as I'd expected to pay £500+ for a lesser quality one. I wish it could have been pink but you can't have everything can you?! OH was a darling and set it all up whilst I was building and he installed the Sims and is really impressed with himself as it is playing it with all the graphics bars set to High which is apparently really good??? We made little Rich and Robyn Sims and he got really into it, taking ages over 'my' cheeks (too chubby!) and eyebrows (too thin!). I'm looking forward to getting home to actually get a proper play on it, although I'm fairly sure I'll be fighting with OH to get on it! We're planning on selling my laptop so a job for this week is to price it up and get it on ebay!
And what the heck is that scary mummy/baby jumper thing???Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
