but for the shower there is this red electric switch you have to turn on before you have a shower? could this be to do with the high usage maybe because people always leave it on?
(I share with 4 by the way)

We have one of those red switch things. OH told me that it costs more if we leave it on, but not sure if thats true or if he just told me that to make sure i remember to turn it off :rotfl::rotfl:
Someone else might know, but i think its good to get in the habit of turning it off anyway

Its 19.9% at the minute. OH already applied for a 0% a few weeks ago and got rejected - which im not surprised at really as his credit rating isnt great, dont really want to get into the spiral of keep applying for things that its pretty fair to assume he wont get.
Looks like moving in with his parents really is going to be a good thing, but that wont be for another 2 months or so.

    Morning all

Thanks for the spreadsheet Poolie, it's great. Just one question. Do you have any idea how I can add a bit so I can put in mpg and calculate how much petrol each car would get through in a month. Not bothered about tank size but am bothered about if it'll cut my fuel bill!

Cinny - Car is running very well. We have been out all day the petrol tank has not moved a bit. We have been to Hampton Court (they were re-enacting the marriage of Henry VIII to Karthryn Parr so there characters about and actually saw Henry) afterwards it was up to Richmond for some lunch followed by Westfield (shopping centre) so OH could go nuts.

Dinah - You could add another row to the spreadsheet if you wanted. To calculate all you need to know is distance covered in miles on a tank, the amount of fuel put into tank and price. Try http://www.torquecars.com/tools/uk-mpg-calculator.php for the calculation.

Remember to take into account any servicing or expected repair bills for the cars.

Yes i think we will get by. But just shows us another reason why moving in with OHs mum and dad!! Think now we are definatly going to have to concentrate our efforts on HSBC rather than Natwest.
Think i need to go and get some more stuff listed on ebay!!

Do you ever think that some of the money making things you do are pointless? I have just been looking at the value of some cds on musicmagpie. Most of them have come up at anything between 80p and £2. These are cds that have sat on the shelf probably for years, we dont buy cds anymore and the music we do have on cds has been on the laptop for ages. Kinda feel like its not worth the effort, but then i guess every penny counts.

Talking about pointless moneymaking, Ive ballsed up on one of my mystery shops and ordered the wrong thing so they're not paying me! How annoying, not only am I out of pocket now but I ate all those empty calories for nothing! Gahhhhh!

Been trying to play Sims 3, laptop is really struggling and it's all jerky and horrible so I'm not enjoying it! OH decided to stick his nose in and played around with the settings that made it even worse so I spent ages reloading the game to reset the settings to reload the game again... blegh! OH has suggested going to have a look at laptops one afternoon this week coming with his computer geek Dad so I may eventually be able to enjoy my game! Here's hoping!

Flower, I think Music Magpie will be worth it if you send enough CDs off! I'll have to do it myself, I've got loads of CDs just lying around!
