I should have never discovered Etsy! I like these earrings, does it make sense to buy my wedding jewellery before I've even booked anything or tried on dresses?!

Well you could wear them for something else if they don't suit in the end? Are you sure your colour is going to be the pale blue? If so then yes I think you're fine to get them! (Afraid I don't like the plastic 'jewels' on the bottom though, look a bit tacky for wedding photos imo).

They're not plastic 'jewels', it's blue quartz. And we want a blue colour theme as it's the only colour that suits both of us. I thought the blue stones would look quite nice against my dark hair and quite in fitting with a Caribbean wedding...

Oooh, have you decided on a Caribbean one? Or is it just 'incase' They're very pretty though! and if you're wearing a plain white or cream dress they'll add a nice bit of colour to it.

Oooh if they're actualy stones then that's much nicer, the photos just look a bit plasticy! Blue would be a nice colour for a summer/beach wedding. I got bored the other day and started reading some wedding diary type threads - learnt all kinds of things! There are a lot of women on there who need to relax though and realise it's not possible to be perfect, but you're marrying the perfect guy, the day is just the icing on the cake.

I know what you mean Dinah, there are some real Bridezillas! What makes me laugh is that there is a real expectation from bridesmaids to put their life on hold to do everything for the bride and there are so many moaning tales of bridesmaids having a life outside of the wedding and not having time to spend picking out flowers etc. I'm a bridesmaid for my SIL, and she's mine but we're not going to be like that at all. We know that we wear what we're told, go to see the bride trying on the dress and not get too drunk on the big day. Why is there so much expected of them? Are we missing something?
We're pretty much settled on the Carribbean wedding, we've got our favourite people signed up to come (and there's a big possibility that his bro's can't afford it!) and it's no stress; just turn up and get married. I can't be bothered with becoming a Bridezilla!

The earrings look pretty! I like the idea of a blue theme as well.

Cinny - sounds like the business plan is all coming together, very exciting!

Won't he be sad that some of his family can't come? I'd get married in the street if it meant I could have all the people who matter to me there!

He isn't too bothered about his brothers coming or not, his parents matter most to him. He will be a bit sad but he'd be more sad if we have to miss out on the beach wedding for the sake of his brothers. His best friends, who are more like brothers than his actual brothers, are coming and they mean the world to him. I don't really want the brothers to come but I accept that they probably will and I'm just going to stay away from them as much as I can; luckily the other friends have already been briefed that they will have the job of keeping them away from me!

I was just a naughty girl and gambled £5 on the national lottery site... but I won £60 on a scratchcard! Sooo exciting :j

I rarely play the lottery but I randomly decided to buy euromillions tickets and £5 is the min deposit so I bought 2 tix and the scratchie with the remaining £2 - quickly withdrew all the cash and squirrelled it away into my savings account. Good times!

Not had any job news - bad times, but ignoring it for the moment!

Birdie, your wedding plans sounds like they're coming together :D I mistyped and called you 'bridie' - maybe I should have left it...

Ditto your business plans Cinny! I'm not very business-savvy but you'll be able to claim back vat on your kitchenaid and stuff, right?
