I'll have to get him to open his own account, tell him of a chance to get food and he'll do it in a heartbeat! Shame he couldn't get this one, it would of been perfect for his lunch tomorrow.

I love the middle blue one Birdie, looks like it could be a dress! I think we've gone from Dress of the Day to Apron of the Day. (What happened to DOTD?!)

Figured out I need to save £40 a week to reach my savings target by the end of July, thinking of upping the target but I need some money to put into the Cupcakery so I don't want to skint myself from that.

Don't up the target Cinny - just be chuffed when you smash it. Can you not either use some of the savings for the cupcakery, or have a seperate savings pot for the start up costs for the cupcakery?

    I am loving the aprons!

All these MS's sound good. I have been interested in doing it before but the whole tax thing sounds confusing to me.

Managed to redeem for a arcadia voucher on Valued Opinions so looking forward to getting something with it when it comes

I had a guilty pang the other day thinking about DOTD actually! I'm running out of dresses to show you! Just for you though I will find one! :D

Hey Cinny, another apron for you from John Lewis - I'm so excited you're starting your business.

The last few days have been quite harsh, lots of friends in a state about different things. My friend has had to cancel her video shoot as her Mum is really very ill now. I'm glad to be at home on my own in the quiet.

Got to tackle Ironing Mountain which I honestly think is about as tall as me at the moment. Then 2 MS today as well, and I might head out to Tate Modern on my way home from town. All this cupcake and apron talk is making me want to splurge!!

Great news about the card Pilchard and the car Poolie x x

I think I'll have to look into getting another saver for the Cupcakery or something. My Grandad has offered me some start up money to put into the idea, so need to figure out costs. Found some cheap cupcake boxes that hold 24 for £1.80 which will do until I'm showing some form of profit and can invest in some Cupcake Caddies I've seen.... think a Kitchenaid mixer could be classed as an investment? :D Going to some wholesalers on Sunday with OH to get prices of flour and what not. All excited! I think I just need to take the plunge after this weekend and get a stall booked somewhere.

Wendz - Yay for the voucher! I got one of them near christmas from pigsback, it's nice have a multistore voucher that isn't just for bargain places.

Birdie - You should just be glad I'm not posting my more .. erm.. unusual dress finds.

Dinah - I've just got a email from LM on 'top secret flight sale' don't know if they'll be any good for you and NIM going to Ireland?

Lara - That apron is so cute! I'll have to drag OH to John Lewis today :D And he thinks we're only going to Boots, moo-ha-ha. So sorry to hear about your friends Mum, I hope she'll be okay? Things must be bad if you're glad to be at home with a pile of ironing.

Sorry for my super long posts today, as you can guess I'm bored at work! :D

I got the email too, sadly there is only one route available to us, Ryanair, and they don't participate in these things.

Be careful Cinny, do not spend on anything you do not NEED. One of the most common causes of businesses failing is that they tried to buy every single thing they could need for 3 years at the start and then couldn't service day to day.

I would suggest you open a current account with saver attached for the business to keep things completely seperate. You need to put £1 in every £3 you make to one side for the tax man, it may not come to this much but its better to have it there and not need it than not have it when you do need it. Keep good records of what you sell, how many, and the cost of materials you buy/stall rental and you should be fine come tax return time.

Have you checked out the health and safety implications yet? I can't stress how important it is to do that before you make anything, I work with H & S quite often, and they do slap on some very heafty fines for breaking food rules.

I know what you mean Dinah, that's why I'm opting for the £2 boxes over the £30 caddies! Great idea on opening a new current account with attached saver for the Tax man though, didn't think of that one! I'll be keeping accounts of the money spent/made from the word go.

H&S checking is on my list for tomorrow and of course the first thing I'll be checking before anything else!

Birdie - The bride wore tree! That's actually really lovely from the back with the big bows, and the front is growing on me! (no pun intended)

I think that dress is really unusual, maybe more as a ball dress than a wedding dress though.
