    Sorry, another bingo/scratchcards query...

I have signed up to Butlins bingo and deposited £10. It says I have £11 bonus. I did the daily scratchcard and won 10p, but I also played some 5p games of bingo. Now my balance is £9.95 but the bonus is still £11. Can I use the bonus? And can I (or when can I) withdraw my original £10 and still do the daily scratchcards?

    Hope that makes sense!

but a £6k limit, what recession?

You think 6k is much, my mum just got given a 10k one! Quite odd though as it's a 0% interest for life, plus no charges if you buy abroad. Seems like such a no-win card for the bank to give out in these times

Zig - I think the £11 bonus kicks in when you've used all your money funds? So might be untouchable while you're going for the free scratchies as you need to leave 10p in when you withdraw to keep the free scratchies going. (hope that make sense) or at least that's how it worked with Gala Bingo!

Poolie - That's so sweet of the garage to give your OH some flowers and a teddy! I hope he's securely fastened into one of the back seats, as all cars need a teddy!

Tete - I was properly sucked into BB last night, it's like a car crash, you can't look away! My sister has fallen in love with Kris and his fluffy crumpet hair, Freddie's quite sweet too but I just like how he says friends.

Right, off to look at my bank balance and most likely cry a little.

You need to ignore that bonus, it is only playable once you have played through your £10. The only way to make money on the Butlins is to be quite strict with yourself, and only go on to play the free scratchcard. You can only play the free scratchcard when you account is in credit, so play today, get your balance to £10.05, withdraw £10, and leave 5p in there (assuming you win 10p). You will loose the bonus money, but that was never 'real' money to begin with. Any time you withdraw you will loose bonuses, they are there to make you leave/spend real money with them!

How sweet is your OH Cinny?! He's a keeper, send him a cuddle from me!
Had a bit of a panic last night and ended up getting up early to check my online bank balances as we'd taken in a form to Halifax to change the account that our mortgage payment comes out of but I hadn't cancelled the DD from the 'wrong' account just in case and I've only got £4 in that account now so I can't afford for £560 to come out of it! Anyway, it all went smoothly so I needn't have panicked! And it's PAYDAY today! I'm solvent again! Whoop whoop!

    Morning everyone

It was busy on here last night! I'm really pleased that I've got another 0% card so now I'm just waiting for the day I can tell Capital One I know longer need their card....or their massive interest rate. I know what you mean Tete - a 6k limit does not smack of a recession and is one reason why this website is so good for helping people get out of debt. I'm going to be really strict and reduce the limit to something more manageable when it's up and running.

Cinny, I love the cupcake apron Birdie found for you. I think having staff wearing aprons at work like would mean you have to have a good day, it'd make you all smile. I love stuff like that. I recently bought my mum's Westie a new collar which has got cupcakes round it and I told my mum it's cos she's a little cupcake.

Poolie, hope you're enjoying your new car. It's nice about the flowers and teddy bear - a company that goes that extra mile.

Northern Rock update - I think I've got the first part of the repayments :j When they sent me the calculations there was one payment for £50 and some pence and then the main one is £617 and some pence. Well, checked the bank balance and £50 and some pence has gone in but with Nationwide I don't know who deposited it until tomorrow (strange system). If so then I guess the rest is on it's way although I will still then have to fight for the extra they owe me due to dragging their heels. Since they agreed figures I've paid another 3 months with the PPI so they will owe me a bit more.....but at least it's a start......if it is from them!!!!

Anyway, have a good day everyone xx

Morning all. NIM got more than expected from his day on the farm last weekend, so all totals have gone up by £34! Shame he's got no more days lined up.

I'm in a good mood, its Friday! We're planning on spending tomorrow at home relaxing and catching up on some bits, as its NIMs first 2 day weekend except for Ireland in months. Sunday we've got church and a load of mystery shops. I've got another one tonight as well. Can't be as easy as last nights petrol one though, that was money for nothing!

Ohh, it's only £19 including postage from Spain! So so tempted, but I don't really *need* any new clothes I suppose.. *sigh*
I'll make sure OH gets the cuddle, I think I'll get him one of his adored nacho combos from the cinema today to say thank you.

Talking of Aprons I've been looking at this website full of real cute ones! This is topping this list atm http://www.cupcakeswirl.com/item_25/Jessie-Steele-Cupcake-Bib-Apron.htm

I like the sound of your plans for tomorrow Dinah! Is the Church you're going to on Sunday the one you've settled on? I remember you saying you were going to go and look around a few (I think!) a bit ago. That's lovely news for the unexpected £34 though. Will really have to look into MS tomorrow, the petrol one sounds great! Just remembered which one I'm with so I'll have to complete the training stages today.

ETA: There's a MS at a shop near where OH is working tomorrow. Could I send him to do it from my account or will it have to be me?

No you can not send anyone else to a MS on your behalf, he'd have to have his own account. Some of the shops check the security cameras to see if the right person did it.

No this is the first church trial, keeping an open mind atm!

Okay I feel very anti-feminist having apron envy.
