It is a good idea to have a look at the markets. My sister was telling me about friends of hers that did the same degree (textiles) who have been making scarves and things and selling them at markets in posh places and making 60 quid a scarve. Definitely a good idea if you are good at something.0

Hmmm, how about a play on the Magnolia Bakery (as seen in SATC and a must visit when I eventually get to New York!) like the Mini Magnolia! The recipe book looks yummy too if you have a look for inspiration! Whilst googling I also came across the term 'Cupcakery', please call your business a Cupcakery!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Mmm, buttercream with the added kitty litter crunch! No no, my kitties aren't allowed in the house anymore (they pull up carpets) the only part of the house they're allowed in now is my bedroom. Plus when I'm baking I put the dogs out and give the sides a good scrub a dub dub before I start. I'll make sure to check all that on Saturday though, I've been looking at the Yahoo ideas already posted but nothings catching my eye!
ETA: My library has a big section of cook books so I'll keep an eye out for it Birdie. I love Cupcakery! 'Kates Cupcakery' or.. something better than just my name!
Wendz - £60 a scarf?! Bonkers! There isn't anywhere in my town that sells cupcakes, not even Asda! Quite a few self owned cafes which I could pedal my cakes around too. Need to look into storage boxes ect for if/when I start a stall. There's the buttermarket in town too which is indoors each week so I'll have to go there and have a knatter with the old dears!0 -
Oh I love the idea of calling it The Cupcakery! Clever spin on a traditional bakery and clearly showing what you sell!
Ooooh you could make cupcakes for all the MSE brides who have the big cupcake towers rather than a traditional cake!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

In one of the recent Good Food magazines I'm sure I read an article of a woman who started making and selling cakes from home and it said what you had to do/have to do it yourself. I'm pretty sure it was Good Food magazine, or it could be Sainsburys magazine...
I'm not at home til next week but if I find it I'll pm you with what it says if you like. But you'll probably find the info you need by then!

*Bowing* You're welcome for the genius word! Although I did steal it from some London Cupcake place...
I think Katie's Cupcakery (Or Catie for allieration!) sounds sweet if you don't mind the cutesy version of your name!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Another vote for Cupcakery here! I prefer Katie or Kate though to Cinny, which I always thought was pronounced Sinny, because I like the c-c sound. Katie's my fave.
And £60 a scarf indeed - maybe Dinah and I should start an enterprise once we've done our course!
I thought I had loads to do but have just re-written my list missing off everything I'd crossed off and it looks a lot shorter now!And only half 2. ShameI've got so much on my personal to-do list. Might write a review while I'm sat here.

We could have an entire wholesome homemade industry going in here in a couple of years time!
I was knitting some of NIMs scarf again last night (I know, it's 7 months in the making now!), everytime I start up again I manage to create a new stitch so it goes from 21 stitches to 22 a week later and so on. I have no idea how I do it, but its very odd!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Caties Cupcakes looks and sounds cute. And I could put up with that a whole lot easier than Katie! (I got called that by everyone when I was growing up, no matter how many times I corrected them!)
Thanks for that Zig! My mum gets Good Food magazine so I'll look through that when I get home incase it's that one.
If I ever open my own little Cupcakery shop you guys can have free cupcakes for life for all the ideas!
Completely random but I've just made a job out for a place called Cuckoo Hall, I've got that Sound of Music song in my head now 'There's a sad sort of clanking From the clock in the hall' That's going to be with me all night now!0
