I think when they ring you they must be getting a bit desperate so you may be able to get a bit extra out of them... I may try it again in future to see if it works!

Bummer about the interest Pilchard, and £4 over target is very good going, you should be proud of yourself for paying off as much as you did!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Very good point Tink! I've been faffing all night trying to figure a little logo out. Ruddy hard!

Well done on the MS TPA! And yours Birdie, is it £15 extra on top of your spent money back? Still not sure how MS fees work and what not!

Trying out my logo, and I'm in two minds about Catie's Cupcakery as a name now. Ideas on a postcard please!

Just got a call from OH to say he's won another £130 from a £2.26 bet  Just thinking, if he does this well with his own money how well he might do with MB, but he doesn't have the time to read through it all and try it, which is a pain!

Oooh, all excited. Get to vote for the first time ever tomorrow!

ETA: Giving in on the logo for tonight, my noggin is refusing to work properly. Keeping the main idea of the cupcake stall from the family atm so you guys are my only outlet, so sorry if I keep on bombarding you all with stuff! This is what I have so far though:

Just after something for a tag, or little cards with this on one side and my contact details on the back to hand out.

    Evening everyone,
Ooh exciting talk on the cupcake front, although all this talk is making me hungry!!
Dinah, have a quick question for you (if you dont mind me being nosey that is!!) - how much rent do you and NIM pay your parents. OH and i have decided to have further discussions about the possibility of moving in with his parents. Quite excited at the possibility of how much money we could save!!

We pay £240 each, so £480 for the two of us. For this we get one room, all our toiletries, the cat gets fed and litttered, we get breakfast, packed lunch and dinner and snacks, hot water/heating etc. Basically all our household expenses are covered by that. Now while thats more than I personally would spend on food, mum does feed us all very, very well and we want for nothing, so I can't complain.

Hello everyone, quiet on here again this morning. Im just having my morning coffee and relax before commencing work. Plenty to do as it's my last day for a week :D Showed OH the itinerary last night and he's requested at the last minute that we see a guillotine, one that has actually been used! I told him off for being obscure but he protested saying it's a major part of French history and anyway people go to the Tower of London and Auschwitz, which is true :o but nowhere in all my research have I seen anything about guillotines!

Cinny, I really like the pink and the font you used but when you said about a logo I sort of imagined a hand drawn cake rather than a photo. That's brill about your OH winning more money, I assumed he must be betting at least £10 but for £2-odd that's fab! I hope he's treating you at the weekend!

Well done TPA and Birdie on the MS, something I think I'm going to look into properly next week.

That's rubbish about the 0% Pilchard, could you even contact CO and ask for an extension to it otherwise you're leaving?

    Right, guillotines...

I think I'm going to use the one with the photo for little handy-outy cards, going to work on a cupcake cartoon today. Really hard to do it at home on a laptop!
Guillotines?! Your OH has a point, but that does sound so much more horrid than visiting Tower of London!

Pilchard - About the CC, I think Egg have 0% on balance transfers until next July? £70 interest is shocking!

After a bit of research, it's no wonder I've not seen anything on it before - there's only one on display in Paris and it's in some jazz bar that also has grass for a carpet (!?) - so I'll take him there. It's inspired me to go out and buy the Marie Antoinette DVD I saw cheap the other day though. And did you know the last guillotining took place as recently as 1977?

OK it's almost 10 and I've not done a thing yet...

(Cartoon cupcake sounds just the thing!)
