Thanks Sam! It does kind of feel like I have to start getting it down now, I want to start doing the crossy outty thing and putting my new figures in!

Want daunting Birdie?! I have exactly 4p to last me until the 22nd.... My car *might* have enough petrol to last until then, but we do need to book a £27 hotel room... not sure where that's supposed to come from!
OK, you win! I'd be having heart failure right about now! I'm going to 'borrow' a notebook from work and start a spending diary again and this time it will make a difference, I must stop my odd silly spends that add up! I was very good and made sandwiches for lunch, although OH has eaten all of my chicken so I've had to settle for just cheese...mmm...not! At least that's £2 saved because I won't be buying food here! See, I'm trying!

See Birdie, we are obviously very similar because thats my problem too-the silly little spends!
Wish I could 'borrow' a book from work-our secretary guards the stationary cuboard and its locked. She doesnt let anyone have anything new unless she can see the old is finished!

This mystery shop later-I have to buy a coffee-I dont like coffee!!!

That's a good start Birdie. £2 a day on lunch works out at over £43 a month over a year! You could make a payment a day of £2 any day you don't buy lunch onto your card?!

Well it is pretty stressy, but I know I do have the £1500 overdraft there if I need it, I've kind of accepted I'll have to dip £50 into it this month, but as I keep saying the weekly to monthly is very difficult, and things will be a lot better come the end of June.

eeek! everyone has challenges and I'm getting jealous :(
I think I want one lol because I've been doing the £5 a day for ages but it isn't really happening!
I'll think of something manageable ok and when I do I'll post and if you guys (esp the newly harsh Dinah!!) approve, I'll sig it lol!

I know what you mean Birdie. Have started a spending diary on my personal current account. I wanted to see what was going out on the under necessary spends. Have noticed I spend more when on nightshift as I have to avoid the pull of the 24hr Tescos for going for a walk. I usual come out with Chocolate or something else.

Have been good this week and made sandwiches but I am on morning shift. The test will be from Sunday night for 4 nights.

Good idea about the paying off £2 every day I don't buy lunch from work, will do that when I get home!
Poolie, I used to work 2-10 and that was a killer because about 3/4 times a week I'd go into town to waste some of my morning and spend money on all sorts! Now I'm back on normal hours most shops are closed after work so I can't shop! I work out of town and only get 30 mins for lunch so I can't even waste money on a lunchtime, it's brilliant for the purse!
Hope you think of a good challenge Tinkerbel!

God are you lot on the double espressos this morning or what?!

Sam, well done on the £9 - see what having a signature does for you?! And well done on the sig to you too Birdie, like Cinny says it's not that bad and it'll be paid off in no time! Saying you're not gonna be 25 for another year made me feel a but decrepit though so thanks for that!

I'm thinking about putting a few things on Ebay again ... if I list them tonight hopefully they can be paid for and sent off before I go to Paris? Will have to borrow my old camera back off Dad. OH is taking my camera back into the shop today so fingers crossed everyone please that they exchange it for him no question (don't know if I mentioned he dropped it on the kitchen floor and the screen just goes grey now, though there's no sign of damage).

Erm, trying to think what everyone's been saying ... Dinah I think as long as you set a resonable limit for going into the overdraft and don't exceed that then you're on safe territory, it's when you start thinking of it as free money that it spirals!

Poolie, I always feel amazing when I've been swimming - full of energy, now stopping being a big girl's blouse! :p

Cinny, hope you're ok there on your own, seems there's plenty of us to keep you company today!

My worst job was working out on an industrial estate from 11am - 8pm, and working most saturdays as well, only half an hour for lunch and the only food available was horrible vending machine sandwiches and pasties so I always took packed lunch. I paid off £3k of debt in four months without even trying!!

Tete I usual do feel good after swimming but have been swimming last night and Monday. Was also in the gym on Tuesday moving some weights. Just feeling a bit sapped of energy. Will have a night off tonight and try and get down for some gym work on Friday.
