You'd certainly need to get some prescription goggles then, or see if you can function with just normal ones, i mean as long as you can kinda see, then you'd be okay....

but it would be very hard to get even the basics correct if you don't go face in on the first lesson and overcome that hurdle... i was so elated after my first lesson as i was swimming with my face underwater for the first time ever... everything after that was secondary...

if i ever free up the time, i'd like to go back to lessons to improve my techniques more but for now, i have learned enough to feel confident about swimming with the early risers before work.... albeit i'm still slow.

Must say I'm full of admiration Maz, swimming is something I'd love to be able to do, I've had numerous sets of lessons over the years but have this strange fear that I'm going to drown & if someone splashes my face when I'm in the water I just freeze & also when I try to swim (uses the term very loosly, I can barely manage a width) I stretch my neck like a turtle so I don't get my face wet, I usually end up with really bad bad upper back / neck ache.
Perhaps I need to pluck up the courage & have another go

    Afternoon folks btw :hello:
