I have always had stained teeth and i have finally decided to get them done and booked in with the white teeth company - www.whiteteethcompany.co.uk

Has anyone used them on here?:j

They are practicing illegally, as they use non-dentally quallified operatives to carry out proceedures classed as 'dentistry'.

They have been reported to the General Dental Council, and you should probably report them to your local Trading Standards office.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • I too am desprate to have it done but money is (as always) a massive issue. Toothsmith can you help shed any light on the options and most importantly the price. many thanks

If money is an issue, then don't have it done.

It will not make your teeth stronger, or improve your health in any way.

It just makes your teeth whiter.

DO NOT be tempted to have it done anywhere other than a dentist.

Ask your own dentist about options and prices when you next go. Not every proceedure is suitable for everybody, and for some, it is better off not being done anyway.

Dentists have full training for all problems that can occur throughout the mouth, can spot potential problems, and be able to deal with them. A beautician who's done a days course on whitening cannot.

Having illegal dental treatment at a 'whitening boutique' may well be cheaper than a dental practice (But not by that much) but you have absolutely no comeback if anything goes wrong.

Plus - if something does go wrong, it will cost you far far more than had you got it done properly, by someone qualified and experienced, in the first place.

If you have a whitening boutique in your area, the best thing you can do is contact trading standards.

cant see the cost on these but my wife bought some crest whitestips in America recently and got excellent results you cant buy them in the shops here but she has seen them on ebay. The professional ones are the best they last 18months and cost less than £20. There are other threads on moneysaving about these as well.

cant comment on licencing agreements but we purchased ours from the US so quite happy, they are also backed by one of the largest companies in the world and freely on sale in other countries across europe and beyond. I know I cant buy them here but would buy them again as the results are excellent.

  • My GF had a set of plastic moulds made at her dentists - they cost (plus 6 weeks worth of whitening) - £250 odd - good thing is, after the initial outlay you only pay for the solution at £20 a pop.
Had good results after 6 weeks - dropped a good few shades!

I say whatever our resident dentist, Toothsmith says. If in doubt take the word of a proffesional.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.
