Thanx
Originally that dentist suggested it to her in the first place to be cheaper than going direct through them but it was quite obvious that she had been in trouble for it so had to take a different approach this time.
I'm going to look on the internet and see what I can find she wouldnt have gone above 16% anywayThanx

I was looking at the Excel3 one that you mentioned, which one exactly do you use then because there are different kinds of the nite white ones theres the acp and the turbo as far as I can see...

Has anyone tried the Opalescence on that site or anywhere? its in 3 different flavours and unflavoured but I think thats the one her dentist said they actually use so I wondered if anyone had tried it here?Thanx

Hi Lady_K
The product I buy is: Nite White ACP 16% mint. I've been using it for a couple of years, with my dentist's knowledge, and I am very pleased with it.
I would not use anything higher than a 16% strength.

I had my teeth whitened over 3 years ago and I used 10% Carbamide Peroxide Gel with Potassium Nitrate and Fluoride, it was distributed by Optident (Just reading the packaging!) I am at the dentist next week and will be asking for another mould to be made as I lost one somehow and then will try to order this product elsewhere. I did get some sensitivity with this and It took about a week to 10 days to take full effect.0

Your dentist will show you the appropriate amount to use and how to use it.How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

Ones obtained through your dentist will be perfectly safe for you to use.
If sourced from elsewhere, then you are getting a gel which you have no idea where it came from, or indeed if the stuff inside is what it says on the packet.
It might be safe, it might not.
You can get whitening systems that are not available in this country via the internet. There is often a reason why they are not available here!
I will not list ones that I feel are 'unsafe' as that, by implication would mean I think some are safe.
The only gels I would put anywhere near my teeth are ones that I knew EXACTLY where they came from. How to find a dentist.

Thanks for that, I spoke to my dentist, but she didn't suggest that she sold anything only that to have my teeth whitened would cost £400. She did say not to use anything else as it would damage the enamel but i did wonder whether that was just scare tactics.Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....0

Couple of options I can think of are:
1. Zoom 2 by dentist using peroxide and light
2. Crest Premium Plus White Strips
3. Oral B / Rembrandt Professional White Strips“Official Company Representative
