However TS May well take an interest as every tray system I've seen uses hydrogen peroxide as on the website above where O2 gel contains 6% hydrogen peroxide , and the other gel equivalent to 25%.
Indeed a well known chemist withdrew sales of a kit shortly after it was found along with the trays carbamine peroxide was being provided, which of course breaks down to release hydrogen peroxide.
The simple truth is nothing whitens teeth unless it is hydrogen peroxide (carbamine peroxide, sodium perborate) which is illegal for anyone other than dentists to use, or chlorine dioxide which destroys enamel , is dangerous to asthmatics and is used as swimming pool cleaner!
No, they do not but they have a duty of care to the public to report illegal trading.
I have tried both, the HP was really painful and only a couple of shades difference.
The non peroxide, chlorine or perborate produced around 4 shades difference, but that could be due to the fact I had already given my teeth a head start. I understand the more (safe) treatments you have the better the result is.
Yes, I spotted that product too. Surprised the chemist did not check. The advert did state dental grade product!0 -
I still would love to know what constitutes this shade guide that non dental "whiteners" champion. Last I looked it was a hell of a lot more than a numerical value.0

Perborate is hydrogen peroxide. It beaks down in the mouth to form hydrogen peroxide.http://www.ehow.com/about_5471456_uses-sodium-perborate.html It also contains boron and because there are many health concerns about that it is next on the EU list to be banned.
Chlorine dioxide is highly harmful to enamel when used in tooth whitening and has been directly responsible for irreversible worsening of asthma http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-433513/Whitening-kits-damage-tooth-enamel.html
So the "safe " treatments you had are actually far more hazardous than hydrogen peroxide which non dentists are not allowed to use!
Please read about bleachorexia . Teeth have an end point beyond which they will not whiten further. Repeated bleaching wrecks teeth

I have used PolaNight from both my dentist and HappySmileuk.com. The gel was in date and both looked and tasted the same so I belive the product supplied by HappySmileuk.com is 100% genuine, just at a much better price. I have spoken to them and they are very helpful. I had loads of questions and they took the time to answer them. In fact because of how they treated me as a customer I can only believe that the product they supply is genuine SDI Pola Gel.
PolaNight gel really does work but there are some things you need to know to get the best out of the product. I am not a dentist but I am currently using the product myself to whiten my teeth. Here is a practical advice based on what my NHS dentist told me.
1) Go to see your dentist first to check your teeth and gums are OK and that whitening is going to be appropriate for your teeth.
2) Have proper gum trays made. They will fit better protecting your gums from the gel and properly fitting trays will use the gel more economically.
3) Follow the instructions about how much gel to use and how often.
My dentist has got me doing just the top teeth first so we can visibly see how effective the whitening process is. Everyone’s teeth are different. Some people’s teeth whiten faster than others.
I know most people will want dazzling white teeth straight away but if you try to go too quickly you may suffer from sensitivity. Take it at a sensible rate and don’t put too much gel in the tray as it will only splodge out onto your gums and potentially cause pain. I am taking it slowly and have only had a tiny amount of sensitivity which passed after a day or two. Brush your teeth using Sensodine or similar anti sensitivity tooth paste.
My dentist has me doing 2 days of whitening then 1 day off. After 14 days total of whitening give the teeth a 7 day rest and if needed then do a 2nd set of whitening.
I have been using 10% and 16% Pola Night and can really see a difference. Be sensible follow the instructions.

Happy Smile UK and Polanight.co.uk are businesses claiming to be distributors of SDI Pola whitening products .
I am the founder and managing director of SDI Ltd which is the manufacturer of all Pola products- please refe to https://www.sdi.com.au
Happy Smiles/Polanight.co obtain our products via dubious means. Pola products are... manufactured in very strictly controlled enviroments, low temperatures and are transported to our legal distributors in temperature controlled conditions- hydrogen peroxide ( carbamide peroxide) is susceptable to warm temperature. Therefore I fear that what Happy Smiles/Polanight.co are offering an unsuspecting public is inferior, poorly controlled, out of date and ineffective product. This will result in a poor whitening effect at least and serious oral damage at the worst.
DO NOT purchase Pola products from Happy Smiles/Polanight.co- it may be cheaper but it WILL be be faulty and maybe dangerous. The only way to purchase these materials is to visit your dentist who will prescribe the correct product and will guarantee that it works-
And a message for Happy Smiles/Polanight.co. Cease and Desist this illegal trade or face the full legal consequenses from SDI and the UK Authorities who monitor such business- continue and our legal team is coming to get you!"END
It is also illegal to supply members of the public with products containing more than 0.1% hydrogen peroxide , so these sales are very illegal.
But it was very nice in your first and only post to tell us about it!!0 -

None of these ingredients were used.
Dentists advise repeat treatments for peroxide, which wrecks enamel and is still not proven to be safe from all the reports I have read. Hence the reason dentists must report side effects.
Please provide evidence to the contrary.0 -

Yes it is. Knowing the teeth are definitely whiter and confirmation from your dentist that the teeth are whiter and and in good condition.0 -

Please provide evidence to the contrary.
Please provide the NAME of this mythical tooth whitening ingredient the illegals use so that the general public can at least look for evidence of it's usefulness/side effects, and whilst you're at it, show evidence of its complete safety!
You cannot go about demanding scientific evidence for one thing whilst completely refusing to even name the alternative you are claiming to be 'better' or 'safer'. :rotfl:
Put up, or shut up!How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
