continue to whiten? doubt it. they will more likely go a little darker due to the above mentioned dehydration factor. i only currently recommend custom made trays and carbamide peroxide gel to be worn daily over about a week or more.0

Having a front crown put in tomorrow after having my teeth whitened last week......very pleased with the results,my new crown is a shade A1 which is the whitest i believe

This seems avery short time span to me.
I wouldn't make a crown for anybody within 4 weeks of finishing whitening, the shade just isn't stable for a good while.
If you're having it fitted today, then it would have been prepared, and shade matched, right after the Zoom??
Make sure you've seen it in place BEFORE they cement it on!
(B1 is the whitest, but there are now extra 'white' shades for dentists who work on people like Simon Cowell!)How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Just read this thread (heck it's long). Can't believe people are buying hydrogen peroxide and putting it on their teeth. There's moneysaving and there's lunacy. I know which is which!
I went to the dentist for the first time in about six years around six months ago. I'd a few composite fillings and a new porcelain veneer (is a veneer the same as a crown?) placed over one of my front teeth.
I'd quite like to have my teeth whitened and, after reading this thread, will probably talk to my dentist about this when I next see her.
I realise it's really for my dentist to assess but, having had the veneer put in place so recently, is there much point in having whitening treatments? I guess the veneer would stick out like a sore thumb.
At my last appointment my dentist did mention that I had the signs of early gum disease (a few of my teeth are really exposed where the gums have receded). I just wonder if this is likely to be a factor in determining whether I can undergo whitening treatment also?0 -
If you have whitening now - the veneer and white fillings won't match when it's finished - they're not affected by the chemicals.
It should have been done before the rest of the treatment. How to find a dentist.

I had a crown a few years ago - it was a bit lighter than my other teeth(best match) but my dentist said if I had whitening in the future I could get the whitening to match the crown which i did. A bit topsy turvy I know but now looks perfect!0

My Advice would be to go to a clininc! It is much better to have it done by a professional who does this day in day out.
I recently had my teeth whitened at this laser teeth whitening clinic London called Style Smile Clinic. The staff were brilliant, they really made me feel relaxed as i was so nervous about how the treatment would tern out. Everything from the experience to the results were fantastic! I highly recommend this clinic.
It only took 12 mins and it was completely pain free. My teeth are visibly lighter with a nice white colouring NOT ridiculously white.
This clinic specialise in laser teeth whitening so I felt I was in safe hands. They have clinics all over UK " we have laser teeth whitening clinics in London, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham and many more"
I would also advise that you read up about laser teeth whitening and research the company you will be using.
Highly recommend this company, Check it out!!
