My OH was unable to pay his car insurance (due today, he leaves everything to last min) so rang the company and was getting ready to give a sob story when was asked 'is your car still worth 10,000 euro, to which he laughed :rotfl: !! It turns out that seeing as his car is now worth significantly less, his policy also costs less, 900euro less!!! :j :j Made our weekend!!!

Hooooray for the World Cup!
I entered a competition at work (cost me £10) to do with the World Cup and I came third so I won £25!
Got the cash today and I promptly took £10 out (for something I would have had to have withdrawn cash for) and banked the rest before I could fritter it away on useless rubbish. :ABank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I am over the moon! Last week my 17 month-old niece dropped juice onto my laptop, causing it to literally crash and burn! I reported it to my home insurance company, who demanded it be sent for assessment.
I just got a call from the insurance company - the IT company assessing it have confirmed it is beyond repair, and they have agreed to replace it, so I only have to pay my excess and not buy a whole new computer!!
Theya re even going to salvage all my data from the hard drive, so my music collection and important docs might survive....

I am reviving this thread becasue I have just had some brilliant news. Some of you may remember that before my lightbulb moment I decided that I really needed a personalised reg and promptly went out wacked a lot of money on my credit card for said 'necessity' only to find out later that my company do not allow personalised registrations on company cars
so basically I had a very expensive piece of paper  well I have just found out that the reg has been sold for £950 which is just over what it stands me at  I am not sure how long it will take to actually get the money through once all the paperwork is done but it is going straight off my c/card
