At the weekend I was shopping in town with a mate and persuaded him to go in to my favourite charity shop to look at some bits and bobs. We both found something nice, and I saw an Armani leather jacket, obviously BRAND NEW, for a steal at £15!! At the time I just knew it was Armani and that it was excellently priced in a charity shop - and of course I really liked the look of it. Unlike me, I didn't really check it out totally for damage etc. as I was in a bit of a rush with my mate to get loads of stuff done. A general glance revealed it was obviously not worn and in perfect condition on the exterior.
Anyway, this evening I've only just gotten around to having a good nose over it and taking the charity shop tags off it and hanging it up properly. Whilst doing so, I found accidentally draped inside an inner pocket are the original Armani tags, confirming genuine authenticity. According to a quick search on eBay, this jacket regularly sells for about £200!!
I actually feel guilty, but I don't wanna sell it I wanna wear it, it caught my eye to begin with long before I found out how expensive it actually was. It's absolutely gorge, but I feel like I should give more to the charity shop now. But I *am* a very regular customer there

My good news is that after reading about the Family Fund on MSE, I applied for a grant & today I had a letter to say that my application was successful & they will be sending gift cards for me to buy a trampoline & a tumble dryer.

We were underpaid for CTC last year and have just got an extra £350. I've used most of it to pay extra of my debts and shoved some into the school holiday days out fund. Days Out fund now stands at £330
DH is very impressed with me that even though we have 5K a year less coming in I have managed to keep on track with all debt payments and have some savings to treat the childrenOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hey amosworks,
I agree with needmoney, your good fortune and only you can decide what course of action to take. Are you going to sell it?
Well done you!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
A bit of good news from me today. through Quidco I opened a bingo account and deposited £10 (for that I will get £30 back through Quidco!). Anyway, in my first game I got the full house and won £12! I just need to play through my original £10 and I can withdraw it!

Thanks for your thoughts guys
I know it's totally non-MSE you guys but I do some silly things with money. Although I do only buy clothes from charity shops, whenever I pay I round up to the nearest fiver and put any change in the pot too. Plus I always take things I don't wear to charity shops and sometimes if I buy something I don't like I will take it back and not ask for a refund, simply re-donate it. I'm sure I've given them quite a bit by now like that so I've decided to keep the jacket as the main reason I got it was because I liked it, and I suppose I do do my bit to help so maybe it's just cosmic karma saying thanks.
I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and be grateful for the things I have that not everybody else does and when I've finished with the jacket, they can have it back and sell it again to it's next proud owner0 -

If you were to sell it, a small doation to the charity shop would probably make you feel good, spread the good fortune around a bit.......what's the saying?????.......What goes around, comes around.
Don't worry if you're not selling it, you bought it fair and square because you liked it.
Anyway, well done on finding a true bargain!!!!!0 -
Although I am off ill today (not good news) I have just checked my ebay account and found that 3 things that I didnt think would sell have gone for £20!
I'm so pleased as I'm not normally that good with ebay and thats another £20 which was just sitting in 'spare' goods in my house.
And to think that I was going to give them to the charity shop!
Bring on more cheap/free listings days!0
