Well done Anastacia, puts me in mind of a friend of mine who put her washing machine on then went on holiday for a fortnight, got back to find her machine still going . That was about 20 years ago, now I would ask why leave a washing machine on just before you go on holiday, the clothes would smell by the time you get back.

I am not quite that bad but i was a bit disappointed in my observation skills that I didnt actually notice it was still going when i went to bed. Ah, well. The good thing was it was all DH swimming teaching clothes in there so they were well able to withstand a night of extra water. A washing machine fuill of wooly jumpers would have been worse.

On the subject of yuck, a colleague of my mums once washed his jeans & packed them in his luggage in New York & the luggage took three weeks to go back to the UK. Everything had to go but again you cant help but think .....

My husband joined the TA in Feb as a hobby and also a bit of extra pennies and he was told last night that where he used to be in the fulltime army for 7.5years he will get paid that rank instead of a private or recuits wage. he hasn't been paid anything yet so I had worked it out to be about £500 but now it could quite possibly be £1000. It will take months to come in but as long as its in by the end of the year we will be on target for debt free dec2007 :j

More good news........I've just gone and done all my rpoints, pigsback and freefiver searchs and also been on quidco. Quidco had some fab news waiting for me, (i haven't checked it for ages). My husband opened an Alliance and Leicester account through Quidco and they were meant to give him £50 for it and it tracked as £0 so we emailed them and the tracked it at £30 but it was still meant to be £50 so we emaied them again and they have now tracked £50 and £30 by mistake so we don't just get £50 for nothing we get £80!!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T If my day carries on like this I'll be DFree by lunch :rotfl:

Well a bit of good news today. OH and I are finally putting stuff on Ebay (from MIL and SIL) and we're getting 50/50 for doing it!

Also, OH is the mood for a clear out and has found 6 old mobiles to sell! On Mopay (as mentioned on this very site), we'll be selling them for about £40! Hurray:j

Think you can request it if you get in touch with the MSE Webmaster by email, not entirely sure. my good news is that I have finally convinced OH that we need to pay off our debts once we move before we do any work to the house.

  • Got overcharged at Tesco as the till did not recognise the 2 for 1 multisaver. Went to the customer service desk and they refunded my money and gave me my 50 DVD-R for free :)
