My good news is that yesterday I got a letter back from Ll,oyds telling me that they wont be giving me back my bank charges. So I need to take them via moneyclaim where due to thier pig headed ness, I can claim fo 8% interest.

    Cheers Ltsb :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

My good news today is that I think I'm one step closer to improving my earnings (still a while to go yet though). I had and exam today (thanks for the good luck message ozzyfan!) and it went pretty well.

If I pass I will be able to get teaching hours next year so that I can do my PGCE (to do the training I have to be able to show that I can get up to 4hrs of teaching / week - seems back to front to me i.e. teach before we teach you how! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ).

I got a "bill" from Scottish Power this morning. I'd got into a pickle with them last year and ended up owing a lot of money, so had gone onto monthly direct debits. They automatically increased them by £5.50 in January.

Guy read the meter last week, and the result is they're REDUCING my payments for the next year by £6! :j

I've wiped out what I owed them originally so I think I'll let it build a good-sized fund before I ask to go back on quarterly payments - better the money in my savings account than their bank!

My good news is that, after an interview yesterday, today I have been offered a new job at a fantastic company with a 6 grand payrise. Doesn't get much better than that in my book! I'm actually in a state of shock!!

Goods News for me. I saved £45 for a plumber coming to fix my washing machine. I set it going 7pm Saturday & it was still going Sunday morning. Finally managed to open the door & get the stuff out yesterday. Tonight a brain flash & I googled 'Hotpoint Test' & found how to fix it in 3 minutes

    Yahoo!

Well done Anastacia, puts me in mind of a friend of mine who put her washing machine on then went on holiday for a fortnight, got back to find her machine still going . That was about 20 years ago, now I would ask why leave a washing machine on just before you go on holiday, the clothes would smell by the time you get back.
