I have an interview in an hour for a full time job with decent pay.
Feeling a bit  though that it will take 3 hours for an assessment and interview!
Would be great to get it... but I have other job applications in the pipeline, so I'm going to try not to fret about it!
Best go and finish getting ready... (am currently still wearing my slippers with no slap on, look a bit of a state!) :rotfl:0 -
Got £102 from BHSF (b'ham hosp sat fund - like HSA) from my optical claim, so my glasses only cost me £42 instead of the £146 I originally forked out.
The money is just staying in my account cos I will be down on wages the next 2 weeks with the bank holidays (am a temp).0 -

lynzpower wrote:Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is no doubt at all that dishwashers use more water than wash up bowl... Environmental groups recommend ditching the dishwasher ( but my parents have thiers, couldnt live without it, saves them so much time!!)
Thanks for this, but I am still living in naive hope that we will svae a little water as I am quite washing up obssessed and as soon as there is anything I have to run a sink and wash it, so wash up 7+ times a day when this should all fit in just one load in the dishwasher.
please tell me if this is still going to be more costly as I would like to know before we buy one.
Thanks

I remembered that a few years ago I applied for a tax rebate as I am a member of a professional body, and you can get a tax discount for your subscriptions. My tax code is just basic so I phoned tax office up today, she will amend my records accordingly immediately, and if I write to them I should get a rebate for the last 6 years!0

My good news is that my OH started work last night for the first time in over a year!!!!!! He's working nights and even though he rang me up at 20 to 6 this morning ( ) to pick him up, I'm so happy!!!!!!! :rotfl:DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

my good news is
OH is having a really good response from his agencies ( hes temping) and it looks as if he is negotiating 10.00 an hour. If he gets that, he is going to be better off my £75 a week, which will be brilliant as he owes me about £400
We had a bit of a tax penny drop last night ourselves, we estimate he might be due about 280 back:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Have just found out that I am not a carrier of Retinitis Pigmentosa (a degenerative eye condition that leads to blindness - my brother and mum are both registered blind because of it).
If I was a carrier of it there was a 50% chance that I had passed it on to my little boy and it has been worrying me sick as you can imagine.
But I got the phone call today that confirms I do not have it so my little boy will not lose his sight!!! :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j
I am so bloody happy I can't stop crying.
I know it's not a money thing but it's certainly good news and I wanted to share it with you guys.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member No.11.
