Just had to share this with you!

Yesterday my Dad asked for my Boots Advantage card so he could buy my Mum a new digital camera and so put a load of points on it - about 400 by my reckoning!!

Also, he's going to help us out with a deposit for a house, by opening a home saver building society account so he can put money in it when he has some spare or sells some shares!

How great is my Dad?!?!

I've had a letter thru from Halifax offering me 6.95% on balance transfers for the life of the balance if I take it up by 1st May,

Now I wasn't sure about doing this since "some" of my egg card is on 0% till august, but thought worth snowballing to see if it made any difference.

Well it does, it's changed my debt free date to November 2009 :T

I worked all this out using the figures from early march & I have paid £240 off my debt since then, and this can take into account the £80 odd transfer fee

So IF I manage to keep this up, the £2000 min I am due december 2009 from my endowment policy would be MINE :D and not allocated to some debt!!

My Interview went ok, have to wait until tomorrow before I find out. But still have good news, my lovely in laws gave us a cheque for £500 to "help with holidays"!!!! :T

Fantastic - so that's holiday paid for and spending money as well - I'll use my £2 savings for something else now.

My good news is that I got my £100 from opening a new account with BARCLAYS :j and my OH is getting his next week. We're going to buy a dishwasher with this money which should hopefully safe us some water money!

Nan has released some of the equity in her home and given us £2000! It's nominally towards the wedding but at the end of the day it all goes in the same pot ... it means that we will have paid off the original consolidation loan by August, instead of Autumn.

    Thanks Nan!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is no doubt at all that dishwashers use more water than wash up bowl... Environmental groups recommend ditching the dishwasher ( but my parents have thiers, couldnt live without it, saves them so much time!!)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

My good news is that i got paid £30 for going to a 'focus group' about our water company. It took under an hour, was recorded, and i had to give my opinion. I've no idea how they got my name..... but it was the easiest £30 i've ever earned :)

Also, we've finally ordered a new cooker - our one at the moment is second/third hand, only has one hob that works and the oven door pops open on its own! Now i can try some stuff from the old style boards :)
