Well done Heather, I wish i was looking back on it rather than looking forward at all the years paying it off. oops! Sorry this is supposed to be the good news thread. Finally cleared out my hubbys sock drawer today and threw out all the holey ones! Believe me that makes me feel a whole (no pun intended) lot better. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Ok everyone, my mates been round and she has fully confirmed she will move in, even offering to put the deposit in my account tonight!! I said, no hang on, I need to think where to put it , but then remembered I owe it to my freind who moved out ( but not all of it)
I dont know how to manage this really, the flat does need a few things sorting ( ie garden, few bits of furniture) but I want to pay off my debts!! I dont want her to feel like shes living somewhere thats not worth the money in case she decides to walk.
I think I'll get OH to lead on this one. What do you reckon gang? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Hi Lynzpower
I can understand how you feel, but she has seen your flat and is obviously really keen so I wouldn't worry about a few things that need doing, everyones home is like that. £500 extra will really see your balances drop quickly. Really pleased for you.

If you have any Tesco points saved you could perhaps use them on clubcard deals at MFI to purchase a few sticks of furnitureThe forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

My DH told his boss today that he is really unhappy with his job and would like a demotion and transfer to another dept. They were very positive and said they didn't want to lose him so hopefully it will work out ok. Its taken awhile to pluck up the courage as he has a position of authority thats taken him years to achieve, but the stress is making him ill and no amount of money is worth that.0
