My good news is more for my son...I stumbled across the Sainsburys Instant Access Saver account to find out it can be used for children under 16 with a 5% APR. Woohoo! Much better than the 3.5% he's getting at the moment. Just got to move all his money now!

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

my good news I put the washer on and found a £5 in my jeans pocket, and how sad is this walked into town and paid it off my cc.
  • Have already griped about this weeks shopping bill on the 'todays spend' thread but there was good news. Spotted hair dye charged twice & got one lot back plus £2 inconvenience.

Also pay increase letter today & a nice increase, much more than i was expecting & i didnt even have to beg/makes threats etc

At the weekend I'll be posting on the bad news thread though as i know the car repairs are in the region of £750.

Sometimes I think the pleasure pain principle, like the yogurt advert, might be true.

I did a micro teach session today (traing to be a teacher  ). I was a nervous wreck but it went fine and now I feel that I could really do it!

    Such a relief.

Was sitting at the laptop today stressing about money when the phone rang. It was our electricity and gas supplier SWALEC. They asked me to read our meters as they havent been read for years. We pay the same amounts on DD each month. After I gave the woman my readings she said that I owed them £74 for the electricity and I'm £523 IN CREDIT on the gas. Couldnt quite believe it.

omg just had a call from OH, the freind of mine I was hoping would move in to our spare room has just phoned him, saying she wants to move in ASAP!!!

What a result. Being on here has meant our outgoings on the flat are really low, and we have a tiny bit spare in the accounts towards the "bits" we need for the flat, and suddenly we will, heres hoping, be 500 a month better off!! I can barely contain myself!!

That's brilliant new Lynz! What a difference that will make to you!

Makes my good news seem a bit insignificant now but today I managed to get the PPI on my car loan taken off so I'm £50 per month better off to throw at my other debts! Still good news but on the scale of things ... Whoo Hoo Go Lynz!!
