I had the reply from Barclycard I've been waiting for. I pleaded for them to reduce the APR on my account. The good news is yes. From 14.9% to 12.9% on purchases with immediate effect. So sort of good news really - not as much as I hoped but better than nothing and worth a bit of begging and grovelling. Now I'm left wondering whether to keep it as is for a bit or to try and move at least some of the balance somwhere cheaper.0

My good news is:
I have received an offer of compensation from the Norwich Union on £7123.30 for my endowment compensation claim :j . I will also will be getting an increase in my salary backdated to March  I will be using this money to pay off 2 of my credit cards, leaving 1 credit card of £4500 which is on 0%. I will be able to pay this off by the end of the year. Finally I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Good news - my friends took me out yesterday for a girly surprise day as a belated birthday pressie. They took me to see Chicago at the Adelphi theatre (I'm a musical freak!) and then for cocktails and dinner at Browns. Thought the day would end up costing loads, but as we went for an ealy dinner we go the pre theatre menu which was cheaper. I paid £18 in total - I couldn't let my friends pay for dinner, theatre and cocktails, so paid for my dinner and wine. It was one of the best days out I've had for ages and it only cost me £18! I love my friends!0
