i can confirm that there is NO tv-out on this pc....damn!!!

why the hell does it say so then??????
Sometimes TV out is via a cable which attaches to either the video card or motherboard. This is because there isn't enough space for all the video in and video out connectors. The connector on my particular card is a small circular one with holes for pins in the middle. A bit like a PS2 connector.

A PCI express video card with TV out shouldn't break the bank (check it has a PCIE rather than an AGP slot). Try https://www.ebuyer.com If you got one you still got a bargain.

I tried my local PC world this morning but no joy - Christchurch.
They checked the closest stores & said that Bracknell was showing as having one in stock.(still about 70 miles from me)
Hope this may be of some use to somebody.
I would give them a ring & check first just to make sure.

I think you will find that that small ps2 like connector is an S-Video socket and is usually the main form of TV-out socket on most graphics cards.

It's a fab compy - I bought one last week (new, with larger monitor) for £599. If I'd have seen this before then, I'd have bought one straight away. It's a great computer - having suffered the last 2 years with a cr**py Dell :( going back to PB was the best thing I've done in a while. Grab one if they're still out there :)

Not sure if it has a TV card either - cos I haven't tried it yet (just tried it, and yes it does have a TV card). Took no time to create the DVD Master - but still kept the preloaded part on the disc there in case. Radio works like a dream. Only thing I didn't like was the speakers, so went back to the Altec Lansing speakers from the Dell - now it's absolutely perfect.

Getting the ADSL on it was a bit of a pain, but after I worked it out - no complaints at all. :T

Oh and having problems installing USB storage reader at the mo, but sure something will work out.
Everyone has a photographic memory, it's just some of them don't have film.

Thanks for the input mate. I think the start-up guide is a more general set up and our particular package doesn't include tv out. Is it true you have to burn the recovery disc from the pc startup?
    something missing

Nope, I did it a few days after I'd sorted it all out.
