    Afternoon all!

Hope everyone is well, hugs to those who need them xx

Have a quiet moment so thought I'd come and catch up with everyone! Kids are all back at school and peace reigns once more!

OS stuff today has involved stardropping the kitchen, shower and sinks, and cooking, cooking, cooking! Now have lasagne, pizzas, saus and bean casserole, chick and veg pies, beef in ale, hobnobs, brownies and muffins. At least the freezer will once more be full of ready meals, they always end up depleted over school hols! Also had a good sort through of the fridge and cupboards and used up odds and sods in the stuff I cooked, so feeling quite virtuous now!

Lunch today for the kids was hm sausage rolls/steak slices, mini mars bar (big treat lol!), apple, raisins, hm yoghurt and a cheese string (don't actually remember buying those, so think I might've inadvertently gained someone else's at the checkout - sorry someone!)

My lunch was a sample of the casserole!

Dinner for the kids will be pizza and salad, prob the same for me, but will be taking mine to work for later.

Not too much of any excitement going on here at the mo, I had my final results and I'm gonna live which is pretty good news! They still don't actually know what caused me to have a high platelet count, and I will have regular blood tests for a while, but it has dropped quite a lot, not to normal levels yet, but not silly high like they were! My friend's babe was readmitted to hosp, but they have now managed to lower her temp at last, so things are all looking good there too.

Time for a cuppa and a read through now I think, love to all xx

    Afternoon peeps

thankyou so much for your lovely replies about our lovely old doggie. You are the most wonderful bunch of lovely people. Huge ((((HUGS)))) for all of you.
I feel so much better about our decision now. I`ve kept a close eye on him today and he seems fine - he just can`t walk very far without a rest but he knows his limitations. He had his early walk this morning when it was cooler and did his usual trick for a biscuit for his human friends. He stands in front of them and stamps his feet for a biscuit lol.
We have a portable air conditioner which we fill with ice and water for him when it gets too warm in the summer - he has always struggled in the warmer weather.

Essex Girl - We have had our boy for about three and a half years now and he is a big part of our family, we don`t know how old he is but the vet said he is very old, it`s difficult for the vet to tell as his teeth arn`t normal and are just little spaced out pegs in some places.

Jade - We also have a rescue cat, we have had her 8 years now and she is unlike any of our previous cats, we have had a few cats in our time. The first was a factory cat that lived around some buildings where a friends hubby worked, she came home with him - 6 miles on his shoulder on a motorbike  she was adorable and settled in with us nicely before having 5 kittens - one of which we kept before finding good homes for the others. Our current kitty has known all 7 of our dogs and is most definitely the boss in this household :rotfl:We used to take the older rescue doggies which got overlooked which is why we have had so many.

We now just have our oldie, the cat and a younger dog which we adopted about 18 months ago.

Rosyred - ((((HUGS))) for you and your doggie, he is lucky to have you. What breed is he?

D&DD - Congratulations on your win, that weather station looks great!

SnowyOwl - it`s horrible to find that someone has been sneaking around where they shouldn`t. We have recently been leaving small upstairs windows open at night and the younger dog has been grumbling, we thought that she was just getting used to hearing different noises at night until one of our neighbours told us that someone had managed to force the padlock on the side gate to their house. I would use your alarm, hopefully the chance won`t arise again though.

Miss liquorice - Great news about your doggie. Thankyou for thinking of our oldie. His problem seems to be a bit more than a congenitive one i`m afraid. I have read an awful lot about it recently and listened to a lot of advice. I can`t stop hugging him at the moment - he seems a bit puzzled lol.

Well i`ve been in the garden and stained all the sleepers and all the wooden tubs, the bird table has been done (it`s water based pet friendly stuff) and anything else wooden that needs this particular colour. I`m covered in the stuff and have ruined another t-shirt  I`m off for a good hot shower before starting to shred the bits and bobs for a huge salad for when DH arrives home.

Oh and the postie has delivered another ten fushias that i ordered after reading the almost freebie board, in fact i`d better go and pot them up before my shower.

    Catch you all later *waves*

Marie.....I did not go to Tesco yesterday but when I saw the budget 2% on wine from midnight I was there within 10 minutes. I bought 18 bottles and 16 bottles of bier blonde!!!!!!!!!!! £68 ended up paying £39 so not bad.........

Just a quiet day today, we had lunch in the garden and sat for a couple of hours this afternoon reading. I made the beef stew enough for 2 meals and a lemon drizzle cake for afternoon tea once we have finished the hot X buns that were in the freezer. No house work for me today...........

    Evening all
I'm sure I posted this morning, heaven knows where though as I can't find it on here, still it was boring waffle, lol.
Hubby's been asked to do 2 more weeks at school, woo hoo.
So busy at work they put 3 extra staff members in with me in an attempt to master the backlog, partially sucessful, but still need help tomorrow.
Have a good evening everyone (hope you didn't get your tackle sunburned N9eav)
    Hugs Hester

    I've been Money Tipped!
Evil cat walked through my cup of tea and then complained that her paw was wet.

Little bear has been completely relentless today - when he wasn't cuddling on me. Poor lamb got past himself and then noise from outside woke him up when he finally did nap.

Bless him, very little crying or complaining but lots and lots of 'look what I've managed to get hold of' and 'what can I do next - oh look...'

    Feel completely frazzled.

Don't know if I'll be able to post much in the next few days, but hugs to all.

Mummysaver - Glad to hear that your results were good. It must be a weight off your mind. Hope that your friends litle one continues to improve.
