I have a Mr S order coming today for triple what I wanted to spend as darling father here.
All my plans to try and get a schedule going have been put back another week, and I am now on maximum dither.
Little bear was so tired yesterday - he crashed into bed and was out as soon as his head hit the pillow.
Yesterday he was rubbing his eyes hard. I said 'Don't put your fingers in your eyes!' and tickled him. Guess what he does now when he wants a tickle? A&E will never believe me.
Well, I'm going to try and sort out where my darling father will sleep and get it all lovely. Or at least doable.
Whitefly on roses - water with water and washing up liquid?
Tea - no idea. Something relatively healthy, I think, as the takeaway is going to be on birthday card terms by the time my darling father leaves.
Sunnyday - so sorry to hear about your furry friend. How people can be so cruel to animals is beyond me and your furry friend is lucky to have you. Hugs.
Must go - little bear needs assistance but happy birthdayAnkh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
I would be sooooooooooooooooooooo grateful if somebody would tell the wee man inside my head to STOP beating that bloody drum.......
Not feeling so good today.....ByeToday, my BEST is good enough.0 -
Morning all.......(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one. So sorry to hear about your dog Sunnyday, but I am sure his days will be as happy as you can make them.........you have done a wonderful job with him.
The sun is shining fit to bust. I was going to finish off the front bedroom window but the sun is full on it, will have to wait for duller weather.....
Stewing steak out of the freezer, so beef stew on the go in a minute for Friday supper. I have some beans in the freezer I want to use up, so they will bulk it out a bit. Toad in the hole tonight.
OH is hoping to play bowls tomorrow so when I have dropped him at the green I will nip to Aldi, need some fruit and veg, if I have any dosh left over they have shrubs for £1.99 on offer tomorrow, must have a look at their website and see what the 49p offers are. We had some really nice salad potatos from there a couple of weeks ago.
OH is cleaning out the inside of my car after the move.........we have brought down all the plants we are going to from the allotment, so it can be cleaned inside and out and the vinyl cleaned, hope there are not too many scratches on it.
My plans for the rest of the day nowt!!!! its time I slowed down a bit, the house is almost there, whats left I can do over the next couple of weeks........I am working out a 2 week menu, will buy staples at the begining of the month and then divide the dosh left by the number of weeks left in the month, thats my weekly allowence. Really must get down to making bread again, I think the panny thinks I have fallen out with it.
Happy birthday to anyone who has a birthday today.......pen, I hope you are feeling a little better today, Sunnyday take care of your doggie friend......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning,
OH got a call to go offshore tomorrow for a week. Serves us right for getting all organised and excited about the move. This means I will have to pack up the remainder of the house:eek: not to worry though, he has done a sterling job over the last couple of days so not much left for me to do.
Sunnyday - Sorry to hear about your dog, get a lump in my throat when I hear about that kind of thing.
Hugs and squeezes to those feeling a little down and dispirited. Get the music on an have dance about:D I always sing along to the radio when i am on my way into w*rk which usually helps to lift me! Peeps in other cars look at me like I am crazy:rotfl:
OS today, OH is doing the ironing and some more packing. Salad for lunch and I think it will be a stir fry for tea. Not much else OS unfortunatly as my life is consisiting of packing at the moment.
Beautiful and sunny here today, hope it lasts out for the weekend.
Happy birthday to princess and loopy and a big welcome to all the newbies!
Is everyone cooking something with beef today?! LolSpreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -
Morning all!
Sun is lovely today, just popped into Lidl's, they had aubergines and chantennay carrots for 49p today! So shall make a Mousaka. Monday I got a couple of lovely Stem Fuchia's, ideal for my front tubs! I see they have a lot of gardenning stuff in there at the moment.
Went to allotment yesterday and learnt how to net the strawberries, earth up potatoes and cut asparagus properly, and got my to-do list while the neighbours are away on their hols from sat. Next trip will be Thurs afternoon as it's optimum lunar planting for lettuce apparently!;)
Want to go off to the gym in a mo, but am waiting abit as DS1 has a delivery coming, cant wait all day otherwise I won't go:rolleyes:
sunny - I didnt know people pumped steroids into dogs for fighting, makes me wonder what on earth is going on in the world sometimes??!! at least you have given him a life, what a kind thing to do, bless you xx
A few people with birthday's today...so Happy Birthday!!
Probably do salad for tea as it's so nice!
enjoy your day all xx0 -
Christabell - hugs - hope you feel better soon.
Mr S came half an hour early
And while I was trying to get that in, little bear got into a corner of the room and found a tube of calgel, which must have rolled down the back of a cupboard. Going by the way he has been chewing everything it is entirely appropriate, but he used it mainly for decoration.
Little bear seems fine, unaffected and entirely his usual self, I will be watching him like a hawk now, just in case. So I do not expect any OS for the next few hours.
I can't believe I've missed that tube - it was so tiny but even so. And it has spread EVERYWHERE.
Now that is my five minute sanity saver, I am off. Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

My grandad and my mum both swore by washing up water thrown onto roses.... so I guess that would be fine! I think the aphids don't like the detergent element of it, like the old diluted soft soap my grandpa used to spray onto his roses with a brass spray!0 -
Morning all,
Happy birthday Princess Pixiedust and LoopyLinz:bdaycake::bdaycake:
Sun was shining beautifully at 8am....now cloudy and windy, so not sure what to expect...have been instructed by DGS2 to wait until he comes from school to do my gardening, have lots to do in greenhouse so I think that's where we will be.
OH has his competency driving test (after stroke) in a while, family are all convinced that he will fail, he doesn't drive much any way so won't be a big problem if he can't...not sure how he will take it, not sure whether I should say anything or not.
We are having ham today, with mash and cabbage, looking forward to it.
Sunnyday....hugs
csarina...glad that you are slowing down a bit...enjoy...did you get the wine??
Sybil....you will certainly be fit keeping up with all LBs activity! Enjoy your father's visit.
Have a good day all
