Sunnyday (((hugs))) to you, dont know how long you have had him but it sounds like you have made the last few years of his life wonderful. I think you have made the right decision and if can spend his remaining time with love and sunbathing in the garden - well it cant get much better than that. But I do know how upsetting it is for you.xx

    Happy Birthday Pixie and LoopyLinz:bdaycake::bdaycake:

Essex-boy - good luck with the theory test!

PP - hope you're feeling ok today x

sunnyday - I had tears in my eyes too reading about your dog. I think you're doing the right thing in letting him enjoy the rest of his life peacefully and not getting him stressed with lots of vets visits. He's a lucky dog to have been given a second chance with you, give him a cuddle from me x

Day off again today:j got to do Mums cleaning then get DS1 up as the police are coming to interview him about a fight in a club that he witnessed. I hope to get a bit of time in my deckchair later with my book!

Last night I went to the opera, it was very good for a small town theatre but I was shattered when I got home as it lasted 3 hours.

Tonight its SW weigh in, my first for 2 weeks:eek: hope the easter eggs havent caused too much damage:D

(((hugs))) to those in need of them.

Aussie - that snake was scary! hope you manage to send it on its way, I showed the pic to my DH and he said 'I bet he pooed himself':D
I would have needed sedation myself after seeing that!

Hope you all enjoy the sunshine x
    Do what you love :happyhear

Sunnyday It's so hard when our dogs get older but you are making the right choice for him. He is happy right now laying in a patch of sunshine and you are keeping him happy for the rest of his days. Enjoy every minute of your time with him - you have already made such a big difference to his life. We had to have our old lady put down in March & although it was so upsetting I now smile when I think of her & laugh at the memories of things she did. ((((((hugs))))))) to you.

Awww SunnyDay your story is sad but lovely too. I'm normally more of a cat person to be honest (dog allergy doesn't help) but that little doggie is so lucky to have found someone who cares about him. Hope he is enjoying relaxing in the sun and knowing he is loved.

There are so many dogs and cats waiting at the rescue home for someone, as soon as we move somewhere with a garden we're going to go to our local cat home and get a couple of cats, can't wait. Cats and dogs can bring so much to a home I think, especially when you are in on your own it's nice to have some company.

Off tomorrrow so hoping the weather stays nice, it's lovely here today. Not sure what to have for dinner tonight, back to my flat in Edinburgh for a few days.

    Enjoy the weather all,
    Jade

....... I'll be using a couple of very big pots in an attempt to keep the slugs at bay.....

Try copper tape - MSD has a linky - broken egg shells, fine grit as a mulch or vaseline round the edge of the pots.

    Morning all:hello:

Sat with wet hair, better not drip on the keyboard. As I was wondering what to do for tea I suddenly remembered I took out some chicken pieces to defrost a couple of days ago and there they still are in the bottom of the fridge :eek:Better stick them in the Remoska in a mo.
Sunnygirl- I did some mixed salad leaves last year.I just put them in shallow trays on the window sill till they were big enough to move, then transferred them into bigger troughs which I kept near the back door-very handy.I've done some more thisyear, and rocket-we're all having loads of salad as we're trying to lose weight .I also bought some tiny plugplants from the garden centre at Easter to get them ready sooner till mine are ready. They are in the conservatory and I've already cut some off.Good luck-its well worth doing.By the way, despite being in the same county as you its dull and misty here  nice to know the sun is up there somewhere.
Sunnyday-((HUGS)) - I feel for you so much-I had tears in my eyes when I read your post.We rescued our dog,he's a giant breed who had been kept in a crate 24/7 with the odd bit of food thrown at him now and again,he looked more like a greyhound .Today he is the sweetest natured dog and I too wish I could have had him since puppyhood. You know you are doing what you think the best for him,and he's been very happy since you got him.
Peyton- good luck with the move, and in your new flat.
Nic1Lou2- (((Hugs))) to you and your family
Happy Birthday Loopylinz & PPDust- have a lovely day.

DD&D good luck with the parents support group.I find it amazing what you manage to cram into a day it makes me feel like a right lazy mare.Is the hot water bottle for your back?

Sunnyday- Such shame about your poor doggie but at least its happy and contented now

Taplady- what opera did you see?I love opera but very rarely get to see it live.Hope the weigh in goes well

N9eav-Its a good job you dont live any further north cos its a bit too nippy this morning for getting your tackle out.But hope you have a good day

Weather here is fabulous this morning. It went all grey, cold and drizzly yesterday afternoon.Shame really as it was such a nice day before then.
Yoghurt machine has been on and the yoghurt is draining.I think I'll put it on again as OH seems to be eating it by the bucketload at the moment and I cant keep up.BM will need to go on later but only for dough as my lot love bread from the pullman tin.WM's been on once and is on again.First lot is on the line and the second lot will follow shortly.Ironing has been done and kitchen mopped.Beds made so just dusting and vacuuming still to do.Its OH's first day back after his easter hols so I've got his lunch and his pack up to do.Still waiting for the delivery of my new laptop as my old one has literally dropped to bits:o.I might do some baking later but I'm trying to lose a few pounds before we go away in the middle of May so might bake something I dont like eating if thats possible:rotfl:
